When one of my nephews was little, maybe around 3-4, he used to talk about "when I was bigger". Like for example, "when I was bigger, remember that white car I had?" One time he told my mom that he named a baby once. She asked whose baby. He said "My grandson!"

My niece used to talk about her “other family” that she used to have before she died. She was around three. She would get super pissed and say things like, “when I lived with my other family I had my own pool! Some of them are concerning, but others just sound like they're out of context. For instance, the first one who told her grandma she'd die soon. The parents probably had recently decided to gently explain a little to the child about death (age-appropriate probably, I hope), so the child wouldn't be *overly* devastated when grandma died. (She's probably old and the parents know she'll die eventually. But of course the child simply didn't have a very somber view of it and explained it to grandma like they would any other new thing they learned. That's my take on it anyway.

CopperValentine I used to refer to sunny side up/over easy eggs as bloody eggs, even at a restaurant to waiters. When I got them I would stab them and sometimes whisper, “die.” I don’t think it’s odd, I think most kids end up doing or saying something weird related to death or violence.

I work with kids and I love them all, even this next one, but he will play with us and be so lovey on us but then throw something very hard at one of us, crawl into our lap and ever so sweetly say he will kill us all. Yes, Datsun is a car. Dotsin, on the other hand, is a type of dog. You might be confused because they're saying "DAHT-sun" even though Datsun pronounced "dayt-SOON" and Dotsin is pronounced "DOHT-sihn".

Oh hey Link, Papillons mix well with other small dog breeds. They make for very cuddly, and protective dogs. Only downside I've found is that having papillon in them almost guarantees they'll love to bark at everything that moves haha Interestingly, one of my current Papillons refuses to go down stairs. He can go up just fine but down? Too scary, apparently.

Some people seem to feel an instant urge to interact with babies whenever they see them because they feel so strongly that they’re cute but I would say I come closer to feeling the opposite.

Once when my daughter was 2 1/2 years old, she was taking a nap during a severe thunderstorm when all of sudden she came running to me, she was shaking uncontrollably and insisted that there was a man staring at her “through the forest”. At the time “the forest” was what she called her room. I inspected her room and obviously found nothing but she didn’t want to return to her room for the rest of the day and I didn’t make her.
