Under your communication issues with a Filipina, one most used comment from a Filipina is, "You're counting!". They make this comment whenever you try to control your spending or try to create a budget. They don't understand the words, "We need to save money!".

Thank you Sir for being one of the very few foreigner YT vloggers about the Philippines who is honest, down to earth, sincere, and speaks the truth. I have been married to a Filipina and living in the Philippines for 6 years now. This video is spot on start to end. . Keep up the great work. It is very much appreciated. Take good care.

Well yes, but if it an equal exchange for what the 70 year old, fat, sick western gets in return? Don't tell me money, career, and social status isn't a thing for western women. Which is worse?
@vjmm-s4dАй бұрын
Yep. You deal with the uneducated lower-class in the Ph- poverty is real and you are the ticket out (not saying all). If you deal with the middle-class and you better bring your A-game- even that is not enough sometimes. Deal with the Rich and you better be a billionnaire or a business tycoon. It's all a matter of perspective. Find a decent professional (insert nationality) and you'll be fine. Don't deal with those from the streets. The easy ones, in any country even from your country- those will surely fleece you if you keep your eyes closed.

I have many friends living in the Philippines and many who traveled back and forth on a steady basis. While in the Philippines I talked to many young Filipina ladies and was curious why so many married older expats instead of the younger Filipino men. The reply was pretty much the same, they said they prefer younger Filipino and Korean men, but they have no means of supporting them. So, in many cases it really is about the money and not true love.
@LantangKaturayАй бұрын
Of course Filipinas will always prefer their own kind (Filipinos or fellow Asians)! How silly of these elderly Westerners to think that Filipinas will salivate over them! Delusional!

True. Women.
@chocolatecookie8571Ай бұрын
5:56 a woman that not let you allow to take a glimpse/second at another woman when you are a loyal person is a huge red flag. That person is overcontrolling and might have narcisstic tendencies or be full blown narcissist. When you feel like walking on eggshells all the time and you are not married with that person and have no children with her then simply leave that relationship.

It's interesting to hear how some try to spin the truth. Had a woman tell me about her sisters ovarian cyst removal costing 115k. Definitely seemed excessive but didn't offer any help and the attempts to get the money went silent. She claimed credit covered the balance.

@@chocolatecookie8571 I understand you. Pros and cons over many things in Asian and western culture. One of the things I am grateful to live in Asia is it gives me another way I see people handle situations. Sometimes I prefer the Asian way, sometimes the western way, and sometimes I think there's a middle path that would be ideal. But when it comes to this I'm very tired of western directness and aggressiveness. It's a lazy and usually unnecessarily heavy handed response

Thanks for videoJohn 😁 In your experience re the foreigner supporting his partner’s family, do Filipino guys support their partner’s family?

Yep, the culture is clannish. Everyone (husband or wife) is expected to help the parents of the spouse. Expected but not required.

Excellent advice. Too many men come there after watching all the hype online and decide I have money. they will be falling all over me. They likely WILL be especially if you flash it around like an idiot lol. But that wont create a relationship. You cant BUY one of those. You can buy a concubine for a shirt time.
@WatchCaliforniaExpatАй бұрын
Yes, that’s so true. And you put it very well. You can’t buy a relationship. if western guys want one of those over here they have to work at it and work at finding a great partner for them.
@Robert-HammАй бұрын
@@WatchCaliforniaExpat same as everywhere else on the planet. LOLOL Part of the problem is many bring this bad behavior over with them and think they will have different results. If they want a cheat that will likely work. But not if they want a quality person

Women will always try to take advantage of a man's money. There is no more or less of that in the Philippines. 90% of the time this happens when the man allows it. 10% does the guy get fleeced unknowingly. If the gal is asking for money and you give it to her, that is on you. That is your fault. Especially if you are giving money to someone you have never actually met in real life.

Hi, pls allow me to try to challenge you in a good way. There is a YT channel that "forbids" me/us to say: "but in my country ....". He then responds with: "we are not in your country, we are in the Philippines". And of course he is right. However, .... Let's compare your country (USA, right?) with my country (NED) and let's talk about one specific topic and then take it to PH. In my country circumcision is NOT done. Its only done when there is a medical neccesity. So, if no medical issues then all hospitals will not and will never do a circumcision. In the Philippines its very common to circumcise baby boys (right?). So, how to navigate this when a foreigner (me) and a Filipina want to make a baby and it turns out to be a baby boy? In other words: I think its important to share how things are done "in my country" so that the Filipina knows what will possibly NOT happen in the future. Either, no baby or no circumcision. Or is there a middle ground? Same applies to baptism and probably even more importantly: how kids are raised in your/my country and in her country. This can or will lead to many major problems in the future. And so far, I havent seen 1/ONE YT channel talking about those issues/challenges. Maybe those Americans give a fuck but I do.

Find women who are open-minded. Look for working professionals. It's important where you'll raise the kid. Being uncircumcised will result to bullying in elementary and high school in the Ph. Just mean kids stuff.
