Hope you all enjoy this a bit longer video! Also, I'm aware of (and sorry about) the weird glitches in some parts, I exported the video multiple times and the glitches always appeared in different places. If anyone has any idea what's going on and how to get rid off them, that help would be highly appreciated!

Great adventure and video! :) What comes to tech stuff. What softw and codec (export) are you using?
@TaivalOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
@@honkamies Adobe Premiere Pro and H.264, the weird thing is that I can't replicate this issue in the same part of the video and it has only appeared with this project.
@honkamies4 жыл бұрын
@@TaivalOutdoors Ok, I have the same setup when it comes soft and codec and haven't seen that. Of course if you have latest version of premiere you could try to render once with software and once with GPU and see if there is any effect. The most extreme would probably convert the files first trough handbrake to something else and see if happens again...of course it would be a "real" problem before doing that. :D

Finally. A good finnish wilderness channel in english. You can't imagine how much this means to me. Especially since in Argentina the quarentine is still going and pretty tough. Kiitos, mahtava video!
@TaivalOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear that! This is exactly why I started to make videos in English, not a lot of content from Finland that's accessible to others as well.

Good trip, good movie, well done you :) One thing keeps me wonder. Why do you use walking sticks? My thoughts on them were that they load your shoulders and you exercise more that way. But while watching your movie it crossed me that may be they actually make way easier...? What is real advantages and disadvantages of those?
@TaivalOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Hi, that's a good question. The answer is: bot. Yes, you do need to work more with your shoulders and arms, but I've noticed it actually relieves the pressure/pain that comes from the rucksack. It keeps the blood flowing and shoulders nimble. They are also a great support when crossing streams or climbing hills. Many who have knee issues like hiking poles for going downhills too.

Thanks! I've only added map shots for some of these longer backpacking videos, but I haven't at least yet shared gpx tracks. Would have to think first what would be the best way to share those.

Kiitos pääsystä mukaan upealle luontovaellukselle ilman omaa vaivannäköä. Kauniit, vaihtelevat maisemat, joki, tunturit, lumipeitteet...Hieno tunnelma! Englanninkielisen puheen ymmärtää hyvin, mutta olisi ehkä luontevampaa kuunnella suomeksi. Tekstitys voisi olla englanniksi, mutta ehkä tulisi liikaa vaivaa videon työstämiseen sitten...?

What brand and model chest pack are you using and is it your favorite?
@TaivalOutdoors8 ай бұрын
Been using Hill People kitbags for many years. Currently I'm running 5.11 Utility Chest Pack. It has some positives over HPG, but the size is a bit small for my taste. I have video reviews of both, if you're interested.

Thanks for fine video! It brings memories to me; me and my wife hiked almost the same route to opposite direction in august 1992, when we were young ang strong 😉. We crossed Muorravaarakkajoki a bit south of Sarvijoki, spent night in Sarvijoki hut and hiked through Paratiisikuru and over Pirunportti to Muorravaarakka hut. We also hiked a bit more south to Hammaskuru and from there to Anterinmukka.

Sounds like a great trip! I still haven't been to UKK without Paratiisikuru and Pirunportti being fully covered in snow, maybe next time I get to seem them.

Berghaus Crusader. I used this backpack 2013-2020, but I then sold it and got the Eberlestock system. Didn't need the Berghaus' massive capacity, but wanted to have more modularity.

Great video! The length and pacing were spot on. I like that you are again talking more, I really didnt like the "no talking" videos or the couple first english videos that had less talking. The language switch doesnt bother me. Keep up the good work!
@TaivalOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, glad you liked it! Funny how those two non-talking videos get so different feedback, some think they are my best work and others the exact opposite. Probably if I'm going to do those in future they'll be just cuts of these longer videos, which will stay in focus.

Taas kerran hieno video. Hyvä että teet välillä pitemmän puoleisiakin videoita, näiden seurassa aika kuluu kuin siivillä.
And I'm extremely jalous of all the gear you have. When I go hiking in the ardennes in my country I bring a map, food, clothes, a knife, a tent, a sleepingbag and a water filter. And that still is pretty expensive lolz.
@TaivalOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Haha, no need to be. It's not like I would've purchased everything at once. I've slowly accumulated different things, sold old gear and so forth. I started with nothing else than military surplus. Now my stuff is just a bit lighter and more versatile.

Miksi olet siirtynyt puhumaan englanniksi. Ei toimi.

Miksi? No varmaan siksi, että suomalaisia on 5.5 miljoonaa ja englantia ymmärtäviä on 5 miljardia.

@@mikkolaakso1391 Englanti on erinomainen kielivalinta, jos haluaa näkyvyyttä retkeilyvideoilleen. Näitä suomalaisia retkeilyvideoita haluaa katsoa monet muutkin kuin suomalaiset. Lapin luonto on ulkomaalaisille hyvin eksoottista. Englanti puhekielenä tavoittaa katsojia ympäri maailmaa. Hyvä niin!
