I am a Londoner in my early 40s and watching your video and others which I also browse which are similar are motivating me to explore the rest of our country with my wife. I have not travelled much away from London apart from visiting my brother on the IOW and sister in Oxord, which is good as great places to visit. I used to go to other parts of the country when I was a child with my family and so it is nice to be inspired. I will visit York in a couple of months and then elsewhere in the future. Did you know they filmed some of the 1980s Superman movie in Wokingham? The whole film was shot in Pinewood Studios, England and a scene in a bowling alley was filmed locally as Wokingham was one of the few places in England that had a US-style bowling alley at the time. Also, “Privet Drive”, where Harry Potter lived under the stairs, was filmed a couple of stops down on the train line to Waterloo, in Martin’s Heron.

I'm British, and the bottle caps not coming off is weird for us, too. Very recent EU legislation that has come into force has made it a requirement, to help reduce pastic waste (since people often discard or lose caps, and the hope is it'll increase the chance of the cap getting recycled). Probably a good piece of legislation, ultimately, but it'll take some getting used to.

@@sierralovesdogsGlad you family had a nice time. That round building opposite Blackwall’s is the Sheldon theatre room amongst other things it where some students get given there degrees. The Radcliffe camera behind covered market is all connected to Bodleian library (no public access) the Radcliffe camera (where I used to have my lunch) is also a round room but a reading room - the Bodleian library is massive & underground for several blocks - it has a copy of every book printed apparently. Check out info on Bodleian Library Young Sherlock movie was filmed around the side areas.

Nice vlog of your trip. The attached bottles caps is a recent innovation so you don’t lose the cap, keeping the contents fresh or stops it becoming a littering nuisance and can go off together for ease of recycling. As a side bonus, putting the cap back into place between drinking sessions protects your drink from being spiked!
