I use music as a way to rediscover myself and journaling. Music just makes me feel more happier overall and with journaling, I feel like i'm releasing some of the thoughts and feelings that i've kept inside. Journaling helps me to be more honest with myself and it reassures me of my values and what I really want out of my life. It keeps me motivated.

I don't know if it is getting back to the basics but walking my dog is one of my ways for destressing an being mindful. He is gorgeous so many people stop and talk to him or want to pet him. I have to focus on what he is doing (don't pee there, what are you eating, quit that) so I can't drift to far into overthinking things. When you meet someone with your dog, there is almost an automatic shorthand. They have a dog, they are a good person. It is just enjoyable on so many levels.
