This is an honest review, unlike other famous KZbin channels did, they require an urban SUV to perform as luxury/sports car. That's so unfair.

You can add the temperature easily by adding weather widget. Put your finger in the screen for a few seconds and you’ll see the icon wiggle. There is the Add Widget at the bottom of the screen. Click on that and scroll to the weather and move it to wherever you want on the screen. If you can add, that means your screen is full then you have to delete one to add one.

VF8 owner here. I've tried this but it says my home screen is full so can't add. But it won't allow me to delete any apps I don't need/want, like the games. What am I missing?

Long-press on the home screen until all the icons wobble. Press the (-) icons to make 6 spaces. "Add widget", add the weather widget

Great reviewer for VF8 2023 with current special 249 dollars lease per month . 2024 VF8 has added new shocks and has new battery CATL for faster charge and longer range compatible with Tesla model Y . VF8 is 1000 lbs heavier with thick door to protect driver like a tank . Unfortunately no special deal for 2024 VF8

Seems a fair review and the 'likes' and 'dislikes' are reasonable. I suspect the outside temperature could be added to the screen with an update because there is a sensor. When it is near freezing outside, we get a 'Warning: Possible Ice on the Road' on the screen, so the car 'knows' :)

I leased a 2024 VF 8 a couple of weeks ago. They are still leasing them for $249 a month, which is an unusually good deal. I paid for several upgrades, optional color, optional interior color, and mine is the Plus trim, which has some nice improvements, bigger wheels, more horsepower, power lift gate, etc. Also I paid extra to increase the allowed mileage to 15k per year. My total lease payment is $399 a month, which I still consider a good deal. This video is quite accurate, I have similar likes and dislikes, though the software has been improved a lot since 2023. It’s very early in my leasing experience, but so far I’m very satisfied with the car. It’s a nice looking car, I get lots of compliments. The performance is impressive. It’s my first EV so I don’t have any preconceived comparisons.

Yes, it is my understanding OTA updates have resolved and also glad to hear you were able to get on the band wagon for the lease deal. I was at Leif too and thought long and hard. I just didn't need another car. Thx for watching.

Perhaps. The VF8 is currently a bit of a Unicorn. I only was able to shoot this video because the owner contacted me. He lives about 3 hrs. from my home, but since the VF8 is a car that really has captured my interest, I did not mind driving, but it was an effort. I THINK YOU DON'T SPEND ENOUGH TIME TO KNOW THE CAR, the same when you change to iOS from Android or Android from iOS. Phone Charger : VF8 cannot regconize iphone both full charge and empty because iOS disconnect to charge when it reaches 100% Navigation : Look like smartphone, mean, you need to move short to repoint GPS. Charger : When you install your profile, connect to internter, setup alarm to % charger, VF8 will show recommend next charger station with your setup.

Thx 4 chiming it. The video is not really a review. There are many KZbin channels that can do good car reviews. I like Alex at Auto Buyers Guide. He is very professional with his car reviews. I personally think he is the best. This video captured the top 5 dislikes and 5 likes of an owner at the time of shooting. I appreciate your feedback, but at the time of shooting he nor I knew of what you mentioned. It is the same with my Volvo. I am still two years after buying finding little things I did not know were there. For instance, I only recently found an auto-wiper feature. Also, there was a design element that fits the cargo cover under the floor of the cargo area. I did not know that either.

Do you know what SW version was in this VF8? I have never seen that cellphone "charging fault" 🤷‍♂️. Software .15 or .18 may fix some of your other dislikes too. 🙂

Road noise no, but the charging curve yes. My LYRIQ curve was "fixed" by an OTA update. There is a vid on my channel if you wish to see. Thx for the comment. Stay safe.

Not sure why you think AC is "piece of trash". AC works very well in both my one-year-old City Edition and the newly acquired Standard Edition. Heating is a different story. You have to turn it up all the way to get the heat wanted at first but VinFast is going to fix that in my City Edition by rerouting the hose/pipe..

1. not sure, but the car has a CATL 87.7 usable pack. Samsung is in the city version. 2. I sort of agree. I would put it a step above a Tesla, but below a Volvo or Cadillac. Still for the price, it is a pretty sweet ride.
