$5 DIY Front Porch Welcome Signs

This week, we're making front porch Welcome signs for the 4th of July! We didn't just make one of them, we made three! We continued our theme of showing you ideas using each of our tools, Cricut, X-Carve and Glowforge. I love that your channel is unique in what you do. There are SO many channels out there that make stuff out of Dollar Tree items with nothing but a glue gun and scissors and I like them too. But I love that you guys are middle of the road (Not Jimmy Diresta, but not glue and scissors) and ALWAYS offer suggestions on how things can be done w/out a saw. Making three different options is so great and must take a lot of time and effort. Keep up the good work!

Great job! Love the look on Garrett’s face when the paint went everywhere😂. I just learned a new trick with the stencils, if you paint over the stencil with your base coat it will not blood, so if you don’t have mod podge give this a try. Really like the sign tips, had made a few before discovering your show and if there was anything a person could do 'wrong' I pretty much did on those 2! The paint fiasco looks like something I've done before... I'm always amazed that you guys shirts aren't a big mess after all your painting...I've had to designate a shirt and pants just for painting since I can't stay clean when painting, ever! Oh I love all three but I must say the cricut sign is my favorite because of the colors and layout. When the paint spilled I yelled OH NO but then thought Oh that's OK, its the back... but then you didn't flip it over!! All good in the end!

I love all the signs! I have a cricut so I might seem bias by saying I like that one is best, but truly the 4th of July is the best one. I think the mistake was putting the 12" boards on the front of the sign instead of the back lol.

Kim and Garrett I learned how to do a welcome sign thanks to y’all one that was only stencils used. That was awesome I was actually able to make money by selling them. I used different things for the O like sunflower, windmill etc.

@@marcymallinson1329 you can find stickers and stencils at any craft store. You could paint a board, lay stickers or a stencil down then paint over top. Wait for it to dry just a little and then pull your stencil / stickers up gently. Hope you find this helpful :)

Ive seen crafters paint the base coat over your stencil and then paint your stencil color. That should also help with paint bleed.
