Hi Jenny, Happy Labor Day? It was so nice to see a DYI video of your's. I have been called the Pillow Queen of many, yet most of my pillows are in storage from my move 2 years ago. The fabric silky place mats from the Dollar Tree I have used forever on my matching end tables. Infact I have their sunflower ones in now. When I moved into my Mom's I did not want to mess up her new painted walls with nails so I made wall hangings that were light and just used literally thumb tacs. I made a beautiful wall hanging out of a floral spring placemat and I folded the top down by half an inch making a hem casing. I took a thin dowel rod I had on hand and cut it to size, sanded the edges off, painted them a sage green which was one of the colors in the place mat. I had a nice white rope on hand i tacked to the back of the dowel ends. And I had a light piece of art to hang in the room. My Mom loved it. I would have to say, that I am going to Dollar Tree on my lunch hour in hopes to get your pumpkin place mats. I hope to find your wooden sign and I will cover it with the place mat for my front door. If it comes out nice I will give you a shout out on Instagram. I would like to make 2 of the pillows too as they will match perfect with my Mom's cranberry couch. I hope in storage I have find a larger water pitcher and her acorn platter to display. I like to put fall silk flowers in the water pitcher. Somewhere I have my Fall wooden leave swag I would love to hang in the large serving window. It's 98° today so I have not thought much about fall at all. I turn 60 on Wednesday and it will be my 3rd birthday without my Mom. I grew up in farm county and I loved playing in the leaves as a little girl. I was sad why my Dad would burn the large piles of them when Mom and I took out walks I would gather as many as I could to bring back home for our yard. Those were the good ole days. I believe my favorite TWO are the wall hanging and the pillow. I recently purchased a large bag of polyfill to make mini pumpkins out of felt and I will gather sticks from the yard for the stems. Jenny I too love the idea of taking the placemats and turning them into pillows. I used the same place mat and made two pillows. I also use them for Christmas pillows. One fall I used the green/white twill and made pillows for my grandson's bedroom chair.
