I have the 5 door MT…I was kind of in doubt of the manual transmission softness or effort I would have to do…however, to my surprise…this MT is very smooth. Also, if you don’t have to commute too much…the Manual has better performance on road and less noise on highways ( for what I have heard). Also since this MT has the cruise control, it is less effort on highways. Good review folks.

Thanx for the comment!! We did a test from 0-120kph I was really surprised that there was nothing in it in terms of straight-line performance, it was a dead heat. On the highway the AT has a slightly longer final drive which is much less buzzy at 120kph than the manual. I own the manual three door in the vid and If I could go back in time knowing what I know now, we would have opted for an Auto.

Awesome video! I have just bought a 5 Door Auto, originally wanted a 3 Door. But after test driving the 5 door it was clearly the better all rounder although I still think the 3 door looks fantastic and I do miss the super tight turning circle of the 3 door. Overall I am extremely happy with my 5 door and for me Auto is definitely the way to go 🙂.

I was a little skeptical about the AUTO five door compared to the manual five door in terms of fuel consumption and performance especially in off road scenarios but now I can confidently go for the AUTO. Thanks so much guys for making this comparison video between three jimnys and also for the initial off road video between the 3 door and 5 door 4th generation JB74. Impressive video❤

You guys are spot on I also own the 5 door auto I sold my lc 200 last year it had way too many problems I'm a Suzuki convert believe me the auto is simply remarkable touch the O D switch and the little 1500 engine turns into a little demon it will keep the revs all the way to 6000 before it shifts to 3rd it really does go and yes it does 130 on the highway so easy
