GREED! There is no excuse for why modern day, high tech cars are still using warning lights. The car should tell it's owner EXACTLY what is going wrong. Not just show a light that has a million different reasons for it. A mechanic can plug a cheap meter in your car and get specific fault codes of what is the exact problem. Why not just build that meter right into the cars computer and show those codes to the driver. People would probably not ignore the lights, if they knew Exactly what was wrong.
