So a Whiskey Sour is exactly that...without the Amaretto obvs. But adding the 2 together, don't see why not. Probably 35ml Whiskey to 15ml Amaretto, thats where i'd start!

@@StevetheBarmanUK Yeah! Well I was asking because it's what you get on Liquor.com and it's actually Jeffrey Morgenthaler's recipe. Evening Steve, noticed you didn’t use the Miraculous foamer or angostura bitters in the video for the Bakewell tart but was in the recipe, which way do you recommend? Cheers
@StevetheBarmanUK4 жыл бұрын
M Thomas that’s my fault!! Sorry. I recommend as per video. I did all the show notes prior to filming. I’ll edit them tomorrow. I must’ve missed that. Personally, you could actually play about and adjust to your own personal Taste. Bitters, are like salt and pepper. So always adjust to taste. The Foamer just makes things frothy, but with the pressed Apple juice it should be fine. Sorry though 🙈

Really love your videos!! Watched them all in the last few weeks :) i have some questions dont know where to add, but one is disaronno related so maybe here: 1) Coppa Club in London do an amazing Amaretto Sour twist but they also add Frangelico and Maraschino Cherry, not sure how to adjust recipe for this?? 2) Dehesa in London do an Amalfi Breeze with 'Limoncello, vodka, egg white, lemon peel and elderfower' if you can master this one for us :) 3) Finally how would you adjust gins/vodkas/rums if you couldnt afford all the flavours for all of them them. Lets say i need a passion fruit gin or a pineapple rum or a vanilla vodka ... and i have plain ones with maybe liquors. Eg could i mix passoa with standard gin (how much of each to achieve a 50ml 'passionfruit gin'?) Could you do a video on maybe achieving flavoured spirits equivalents would be a lot of help :) wish i could try them all as your videos are great!
@StevetheBarmanUK4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the Love... interpreting others recipes and rations can be hard without seeing the menu, but I’ll give it a go... 1) 35ml Amaretto, 15ml Frangelico, Barspoon of Maraschino Cherry juice. Like proper proper Maraschino Cherry. If you’re on my Live stream tonight, give me a shout in the comments and I’ll show you them. Cos they’re not the red cocktail cherry’s. Then obvs a bit less sugar cos of the Maraschino and Then Lemon Juice. They’ll also either use Egg White or Foamers as it’s a Sour. 2) Breeze kind of always refers to a taller, longer drink. So can’t see the lengthened in this. Unless they’ve just called a Short Drink a “breeze”. Basically if so, this one is a doddle and I’m doing something similar tonight on my live stream...because it’s an hour dedicated to Limoncello. Alls this is is a Limoncello Sour, but swapping Elderflower for Sugar. So this cocktail is easy peasy if a short drink. 3). Again. Easy. Syrups or Purees. Again. Great Video idea.
@licktheleprachaun4 жыл бұрын
@@StevetheBarmanUK Thank you so so much for the reply!! :) I think i got the maraschino bit wrong, sorry thats my bad i looked at the drinks menu again now and it just said 'cherry' (didnt realise maraschino was different). But its a cracking drink so ill use your volumes and try again! :) Limoncello live stream sounds amazing its one of my absolute favourites! Excited for this one Love your bar. I know you like rhubarb and ginger a lot from previous videos you should try Lidls Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liquer £10 its amazing!!! Prob my fave version with some chambord and ginger ale and mint. Also Coole Swan is an Irish Cream Liquer with white chocolate and vanilla which is like dessert its amazing as you have a sweet tooth you might like this one its great. I just bought a Kwai Feh as you recommended a little while back. Might try it with Lidls Pomegranate and Rose Gin Liquer to try and mimic a Lychee Rose Martini. I dont love rose too much but their liquers are great and i love that drink. Also Lidls Plum and Cinnamon Liquer is a delight. And also thanks for the last answer would be a really handy video.
