I saw the video of Sarah´s small room makeover where you painted pink up to higher than half the wall-now seeing it again I am looking around my open living/dining/kitchen thinking how I wanted to do a high wainscot in white then a pop of color above and cap with crown molding. Well I need repairs before I splurge on anything to do wainscot or crown molding so now I ´m like......this is the answer. The top will be white along with the ceiling and allowing it to maintain the light, bright & airy but I´ll finally have a paint job to pull this open area together! (plus I want to paint the 4 doors in my entry area the same pink as in your house so....I am very excited to try this) Now to decide the color for the rest!

Hi Alexandra I always love your diys and makeover rooms. The accent wall ideas are so inspiring that I hope to recreate one of the ideas on my bedroom and living room walls. In one of your previous videos when your friend DIY Danie made your beautiful arched bookshelf, I noticed when she entered into the entryway of your apartment building downstairs it looked kind of dark and the color was off. I think your next makeover should be there so when you enter it will look more modern, clean and a happy place not just for you but for everyone else who lives there. Just my opinion, but I think the first headboard should have been a bit wider. To me it looks odd with the corners of the bedhead sticking out from the painted semi-circle. Otherwise a beautiful room.

Hey! I wanted your expert advice! I was actually thinking about doing a 1/2 or 3/4 accent wall like you showed in your video. My room is pretty small and I have standard height ceilings (like 8ft). Do you think this technique will make my room look shorter/smaller? I appreciate your posts!

Hi! Not an expert here but if you're worried about the horizontal line making the room look shorter, maybe try a vertical stripe of the width of your bed or whatever you put in front of it :)
