Here is a thought though, and I don't know how possible it would be, but stencils made from card stock that's a bit thicker to make it easier to make the thicker stenciled area for that dimensional look that you were talking about. I don;t think I could say which I like better, they're all amazing.

Hmm... maybe, the stencil i used was a bit on the thicker side, the main issue is that when you lift the stencil up, it takes some of the paint with it.... so i would think that if the stencil was thicker, that would be a bigger issue as well...

Any resin can technically be used for a top coat but it depends on what you're creating... if it's coasters or anything that will come in contact with heat, using a heat resistant resin is very important to prevent damage to your resin creation.

the one that looks a bit like stained glass - there's a thin layer of cured clear resin, then I added the design... then a topcoat of resin.

I showed the paints that I used in the video, also listed them at the end of the video. At the craft store, you can also ask them which acrylic paints they think will work with stencils.
