I would LOVE to see you tackle a fanny pack or cross body bag. Those are so trendy right now but also so useful! I have three kids and am considering trying to make one. I'd love to see your take on it.

I was really happy to see you sew your binding on like that. That is how I have always done it too. But some people open it right up sew it on and then fold back over and sew the other side down. 😜

The ruffle shorts have been on my list of things to make since the short pattern came out! I haven’t been sewing much recently but I plan to do a lot of it in the next month or so, and plenty of shorts are being made

Cute ideas. I’m curious why you tied the elastic ends together on the scrunchie instead of stitching them. It seems as though it would come apart easily with use and the knot would add a bulky lump.
@Bear20sp Жыл бұрын
I've made a bunch of scrunchies and simple hair ties by both sewing and tying knots. I agree the sewn LOOK better (and feel better without the lumps!) but the knots are almost impossible to undo. As you stretch them and pull, they just get tighter. I am not sure how secure my thread is with standing up to the rigors of holding back my hair. So, I tend to go with knots most often and sewn only when the look of the piece would be ruined.
@RoseryApparel Жыл бұрын
You can definitely stitch the ends if you prefer, but with thin elastic like this I always just secure the ends with a double knot and I’ve never had them come undone 😊

I made two pin cushions literally the second I saw this, and I made both my sisters matching pjs using the ruffled hem idea, but I made pants instead and for the t-shirt I had a ruffle sleeve and a ruffle hem :)

what sort of wadding did you use in the sewing kit?
@RoseryApparel Жыл бұрын
It’s a thin pellon I think it’s called? I’m not sure exactly what it is as I was given a whole roll of it a while back! A thin cotton wadding or even felt would work perfectly too 😊
