Is there a reason for recording the sample into Edison then pulling it into the playlist to pitch it? I just right click on the track in the playlist then on consolidate or arm the master for recording then hit alt + r to shortcut render it (or for more further manipulation options arm all the mixer channels of the Melo sounds and hit alt + r). You'd have to unarm the tracks (not if u use the first technique) but I think all of these would be faster than Edison. Would there be a loss in quality if not recorded into Edison or does it not matter

Doing what you do is definitely faster than using Edison, using Edison is just what I’m used to.

I learned something the Transpose! But far as recording it in Edison Just go to song mode, select your sample then hit CTRL ALT C and you can simply render it right there into song mode. Hope this helps.
