Working with student who, when assessed, got many of the /r/ blends correct or close to correct. Should focus be on all /r/ blends correct or should I start with one, say /kr/ in words, followed phrases, then sentences before proceeding to other /r/ blend words?

Hello, Is it the same way to teach the spanish /r/? Since it takes a different place.

I start with substituting /d/ for flapped or trilled /r/ first in isolation then have the student produce that /d/ in slow succession "ddddddo", then speeding up the sound. Then working in words such as "perro" or "carro" etc. It's a close approximation. I googled this but I am sorry I don't have the link. You should be able to find.
