5 Easy Victorian Inspired Vintage Hairstyles | Tutorial | Kathryn Marie

I really hate the sound of my own voice, I am such an awkward duck.
5 of my favourite vintage/romantic, Victorian style hairstyles to do, for everyday, formal or Steampunk events :) This could also work well for an alternative, steampunk or even gothic look.
These can work for medium to long hair, and with any luck this video should explain well enough how to create these victoriana updo hairstyles yourself.

When my younger sister got married, she wanted her wedding pictures to appear "timeless" - so they didn't look like a typical 80's or 90's wedding. She wore a Victorian type of wedding gown with her hair in similar victorian style. The pictures and the wedding are beautiful.

The second hairstyle is one I've been doing for ages, but I do a half square knot with my brands and tuck the ends under the knot. My hair isn't all ne length, I keep some short fringe around my face to frame my fave when it isn't inconvenient yo leave it down, but when my hair is in need of a good wash I tend to braid it all back in Dutch braids to do that sort of style.

So for this Halloween dance we're having at school later this month I decided to go with a steampunk costume. It has one of those smaller sized top hats with goggles so I needed something that would look nice with it and not be piled on top of my head so I looked bald with the hat on haha. My hair is so long it reaches down to my bum, or my bum is so big it reaches up to my hair. Whichever, I have found I can't use modern styling equipment. I am going to try rag curling using men's socks. I'm going through a bit of an evolution. I can't stand modern plastic clothes. I'm going to try making my own, inspired by the clothes of antiquity.
