Thanks Tobi for talking about the cash envelope system. It’s something I’m beginning to incorporate into my finances as well because no matter how much one earns, not keeping track of expenses is a devourer in disguise. Setting goals and boundaries for wants and needs is also essential. Great video!

Nice. My savings method is having an investment plan. I only bank with an institution. My savings won’t grow my money. As the funds roll in, I invest using my watchlist and I max out my TFSA and RRSP.

Yeah, some people need savings for short-term goals since you never really know with the stock market in times like this! Same to maxing out my TFSA and RRSP. More on investments coming! 💃🏾💃🏾

@@osiomogieasekome8799 Yes. I have a non-registered account and 2 registered accounts. I invest in diversified portfolio. I don’t want to keep the value of the money as it is. I want the value to increase. I have a long term goal, and I’m comfortable with fluctuations in the market. Even if the current market situations reduces the value of my investments, I won’t pull out my funds because in the long term, the market would go up. That has always been the trend of the market.

Great video Tobi. For you to save $40,000 annually means that you were saving about $3,333 monthly. Kindly let me know how you managed to save or your source(s) of income & approximate amount(s). This will help many of us, your subscriber to implement some of your strategies.
@ineyemildred9445
@ineyemildred9445 2 жыл бұрын
She's an engineer and I also think sharing approximate amounts of her sources of income should not be a topic of public discussion. However, a person having a take home income of $60,000 after tax can pull off a savings of $3,333 per month. The saving goal also depends on a person's income level. I'll leave it to Tobi to comment further. Thanks 👍

Another way I save is to use my Tax Free Savings and withhold additional funds from my salary for taxes so when tax time I get a good payout. Thanks for the video Tobi…I need to tighten up on the ordering out food especially on Fridays. I also withdraw my savings at 500 CAD and keep it in my house in an envelop and keep adding to it so when vacation time comes around I already have my spending money 💰

Hi, your comment caught my attention. Can you pls shed some more light on how you use your TFSA and withhold additional funds to get payout in tax season. I have a TFSA account but haven't put any funds in it yet because I'm still trying to understand how it works and how I can maximize it.
@xoxokaebeauty
@xoxokaebeauty 2 жыл бұрын
@@Dorothy_A I think you misread my comment. I have a TFSA. For TFSA you can put a percentage of your salary into it say 10percent and when ever you are ready you can use it. Say you are saving for Christmas, at the start of the year put 250 in it monthly from your salary…by December you can withdraw it. They however have maximum limits for different years this year is 6K. This also depends on the type of TFSA you have. I would suggest you contact a Financial Advisor for more information. In addition I withhold more on my Federal taxes. It is optional where you instruct your employer to take an additional sum from your salary as taxes. When you file your tax return that additional amount is given back to you as a return once you don’t under pay your taxes.

@@Dorothy_A Check the _Brandon_ _Beavis_ _Investing_ channel on KZbin, use that as a starting block. My previous comments seems to have auto-deleted. Don't use a financial advisor at the banks. You can use online brokerages for your TFSA and buy stocks and ETFs.
