I stopped using tabs when I discovered Carl Brown's youtube channel. The guy nails it nine out of ten times, and explains things crystal clear.

I'll have to check it out. Attila voros is the beat way to learn Pantera solos. You just can't get a lot of dynamics in a tab. Players like dimebag and buckethead have so much dynamics you'll never find a perfect tab you either have to get good with your ears which took me like 17 years to train mine without actually trying it just clicked eventually and I quit using tabs but I advice to train your ears to the point of relative pitch. Tabs are nothing more than a foundation and often times have incorrect fingerings. I still use them i just count on correcting them

Two apps that will blow your mind… Suggester and Chord AI. Suggester will actually build a song for you. You enter the key you want to play in, or a starting chord, and it will give you a list of the best sounding chord that would come next in a progression, from most common to most rare. You can literally build an entire song and then play along with it. Insane. Chord AI is equally amazing. It will listen to any song, decode the notes for you, and then you can pause or loop small sections to practice and learn any song you hear. Crazy cool.

Just starting out and to completely tune my bass the guitar tuna from yousician works the best but i found the boss app very great as well for fine tuning... Thanks a lot! One tuner app that was trash for me though to my surprise was the fender tuner app... 😮

Great content as always. I paused every time you mentioned an app to download it. I already had ultimate guitar so I felt validated at the end. I hope they are paying you. Rock on 🤘

Moises App deserves a mention, in my opinion. It can detect chords and create ANY multitrack for ANY song. Obviously not perfect, but it will make you adapt to songs super quick.

Fender Tune is great for tuning and some other stuff, and if you happen to catch a sale for the lifetime membership for Ultimate Guitar, it’s pretty great (although app is terrible on Android).

Hello from Australia. Great video. I like Reverse Chord Finder. Sometimes you like a sound of something but don't know enough theory to work out what the chord name is. It's not perfect, but this App might help.

Guitar tab pro I got for £1.99 when it came out and totally avoided the monthly sub which is awesome. If you use an OFFICIAL TAB click on BACKING TRACK at the top of the tab and it won’t sound like midi it will sound way more realistic!!!

The cord app looked good. As usual there is no toggle for a left hander display. It did prompt me to find an alternative, and I was happy to pay for a PDF chart of cords for lefties. I can't tell you how much easier it is to read left hand presented cords for a left handed guitar. Can't be that hard to mirror the cord diagrams (the X and 0 mirrors also) and offer a toggle switch for another 10% of market share.

I want one of those alexi laiho greeny v's thats on the wall behind him but sadly the top of the line ones are super expensive. My most expensive guitar is a Schecter apocalypse c1 frs that i bought brand new when they were on sale for $999.00 and that purchase caused me to only be able to live off ramen noodles and tap water for a while 😂.They retail now for 1400-1500. I think they used to be 1200 but like everything these days the prices went up. That green alexi signature is so sick tho.

Indeed. Putting the app names in the description would be a good idea. He said "MetroTimer"... only available on iOS apparently, so totally useless to us Android users.

Not just for guitarist but also for any other type of musician. Soundcorset. it's a tuner, metronome, and can record stuff into your phone. I use it for guitar and clarinet
@mjcussen74583 ай бұрын
I'm just trialling Soundcorset, so thanks for that! I'm used to Guitartuna which has been pretty good. I don't know how accurate Guitartuna is. I end up fine tuning my guitar with the harmonics anyway.
