Hauntingly beautiful music, as always, by Jim Gifford. I still listen to the hour of original DSO music you uploaded back in March, L. It helps me sleep. That tripod fish is too weird (and amazing) for words! All these creatures are charmingly weird and beautiful. They inspire me! I wrote another little *ode to the deep..* 🤗💚 _How gently we creep in the dark and the deep.._ 🦑🦀 _And appreciate life every day.._ 🌊 _To you lot up there, who can't live without air.._ _Go mind your own business, we say!_ 🎐🐚💚💚😁

They absolutely have an amazing symmetry to them. They look like a million years of evolution has created the perfect animal to live in water. Moray eels, many of which have mouths just chock full o' teeth, are definitely well built predators. Not a lot of things wanna mess with them. Eels do have a coolness factor that is undeniable.

I wouldn't mind more scientific research behind it. Do they preserve more energy cause it is so cold, or is it cause it's long time between meals? Or perhaps they just like to chill and let the streams take them cause they are more likely to meet others like that?
