@123batchy but he overcame death . What the evil thought was their goal . Played into God's triumph over son and death . By doing so he saved us . He paid our penalty . As we are all sinners . Can you save yourself by believing in Jesus ? I pray that you save your soul while you can . You have been given the truth . Choose the truth . Or else you are not saved . I pray for you .

When the veil was torn from top to bottom, it actually ended the ceremonial laws, the handwriting of ordinances, nailing them to His cross. Collosians 2:14. This then gave us direct access to God through prayer. These ceremonial laws, or handwriting of ordinances, were the laws written by Moses, instructions from God for the Israelites pointing to His future crucifixion as the Lamb of God. They were located on the side of the ark of the covenant. The Ten Commandments, otherwise known as the moral laws, were located on the inside of the ark of the covenant. Those still stand and will for all eternity.

Just a point: Jesus' body was NOT ''broken'' on the cross. The Jewish custom of the Passover/Paschal lamb requires that a leg shank be eaten by all family members on the Passover eve. Critically, the strict instructions are that the shank be NOT broken. Therefore, Jesus Christ's body was beaten... scarred... bruised... bashed... smashed... crushed... twisted... cut... and pierced... but NEVER were any of his bones broken.

His skin was definitely broken open.

And this was prophesied showing Jesus was the Messiah. How could they have known years before his death that no bones would be broken when it was the custom of the Romans to break the legs to make the death more painful. Instead of breaking the legs of Jesus they pierced his side with a spear which was also prophesied. More evidence of who Jesus was as again this was not part of normal crucifixions.

Matthew 27:45-54 NIV [45] From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. [46] About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). [47] When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.” [48] Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. [49] The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.” [50] And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. [51] At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split [52] and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. [53] They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. [54] When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!” bible.com/bible/111/mat.27.45-54.NIV

The earthquake open a small crack on the ground and his blood 🩸 poured down 25 feet onto the hidden ark of the covenant. It was hidden centuries before . It was located by a united state citizen who was a preacher and documented and took blood samples from the top of the ark . The DNA 🧬 was found and it was very unique.

Matthew 27:53 says that where the saints were buried were opened up. They were not raised or even came out of their graves/tombs until Jesus rose. Their resurrection did not occur on Friday when He died, but rather Sunday morning when He rose from His tomb. There were two earthquakes: one when Jesus died on the cross and one before the sun rose Sunday morning... right before Jesus came forth from the tomb.

There were miracles that both pagans and Jews expected when great men died. Julius Caesar died and became a god through apotheosis in 44 BC. Thats 40 years before Jesus was born. When he died the sun darkened and the dead left their graves and wandered the streets. Why did God so honor Julius Caesar? I find that Christians are unaware of this. How So? We should remember someone so important to God. Was Caesar's life and death a preparation for Christ's incarnation?
@barrywilson42762 ай бұрын
When Julius Caesar died in 44 BC he was declared to then be a god through apotheosis. They said that the sun darkened and the dead left their graves and wandered the streets. He could then hear prayers and answer with miracles. In the 2nd and 3rd centuries before the forth century council's that established official Christian doctrine. The Saints were first established and worshipped. As there was as yet no canon of scripture and belief, the early pagan converts to Jesus brought with them many of the accepted beliefs of their era. Apotheosis was one such belief. As the converts wanted their holy dead to have all the glory of pagan gods they assumed that the Saints upon death had god like powers. They could be prayed to and could miraculously answer prayers. Saint worship became a very large movement and when Christian doctrine became fixed in the Christian Roman Empire excuses had to be made so Saint devotion could be continued. Those excuses were abstruse theological arguments to justify the legitimacy of a practice that really was not consistent with Orthadox doctrine.
