It's funny you should say that about Penhaligons pulling out of selling to a lot of places, I feel like a lot of brands have started to tighten their grip on their products and other companies selling them in the grey market, I noticed in the UK a lot of grey market online stores have started to go up to full retail price. Love Sartorial definitely agree with your opinion on it, Penhaligons regularly have their own sale where you can often find sartorial somewhere around £50-£80 which is pretty good

That's the problem entirely! Brands force stockists to order a huge minimum which they won't sell enough of and then will have to liquidate to recoup some money or to make space for more product, So because of these high minimum orders, of course these things end up on the gray market. And as a result, brands are TOTALLY complicit in why this happens! But yeah, I do think small orders for even not just niche shops, but department stores as well is more practical. If there is less product out there, it's easier to sell out, and therefore that shop or store isn't liquidating dozens upon dozens of bottles.

Fantastic video, Manny. I'm so happy you are revisiting some fragrances you had reviewed way back in the day. A new generation needs to discover them for the first time. Some big-hype/no-hype fragrances for me would be: - Chanel Platinum Egoiste (which I bought a while back because of you) - Xerjoff Uden Overdose (which I also bought because of you). I do recall one of your videos - with one of your many friends named Lily - where she said it smelled generic. This caused me to lunge at my monitor resulting in a brain injury. Also, don't apologize about the video length. My only complaint with you since your re-emergence is that your videos are too short. I'm just getting settled and it's over. 12-16 minutes is the sweetspot for me. Once they get to 24+ minutes, I need to find a time to watch the video later and that time usually never comes (Hello Scented Moments!). Don't get me started on the 2 minute videos. I realize reviewers are trying to beat the dang KZbin algorithm - and gawd bless them for that - but I flat-out refuse to watch them as they are gimmicky and add no value. -- CJ --

i sold bleecker street again, i did not work for me.. awsome on tester, but drydown was weird.. i got it for 140€ here in germany 🤣.. in the end i prefered elysium cologne.. it felt redundand to own both for me..

As someone who enjoys Bond, buying retail from them is just foolish and they are very much overpriced. I'll be going to their flagship store in a few weeks as I'll be in NYC but won't be buying anything.

I recently tried Tribeca in store and was pretty disappointed when I found out the price! Very pleased to have found a tester for a lot less, as it's really nice but overpriced

If you saw the part about Penhaligon's, that would happen similarly. However, it isn't going to feel as dire if you are a consumer of SL because Shiseido flooded the market with SL products more than Penhaligon's ever did. So eventually the gray market prices will creep up on SL but not as immediately as Penhaligon's did in the last 3 years.
