You should also check if your fragrance is oil based, if so it can leave stains on clothes if you spray it too close. I do the 5 sprays: spray behind each ear, spray the shirt on each side of your chest, and one spray on the back of the neck.

With fresh summer fragrances they ought to be not super beast mode performing cuz then they wouldn't have that fresh airy kinda feel but rather a dense citrus cloud for example...so guys just buy fragrances that smell nice... If you like the smell then great and if it's also longlasting then that's even better but not the only option☺

I mean yea I’m not buying anything that not going to last. Just bc if you look in the market the cheap ones ain’t that far off from a decent one that will last. Ex Dior sport, 105 for the smallest bottle. Then you got cruve that don’t last no where the distance, but it’s about 50 bucks . 50 more bucks and you have a sent that defines you , get you compliments all day long and it will last longer because you need less of it through the day.

You put it on the skin for the heat to evaporate the alcohol and "give off" the fragrance. The oil content of the cologne determines how long the smell lasts. The oil can also ruin your clothes.

"develop" just means that your skin absorbs and breaks down the scent. If you like the smell profile, that's cool, but if you have a weaker fragrance you absolutely should spray on your clothes rather than skin because it'll last longer. Your clothes absorb your natural oils over time as well, so it really isn't a big deal when it comes to the scent, just longevity.

Most fragrances are not colored liquid so how would it stain. Many perfumes are diluted with sd alcohol which evaporates .. they won’t stain if the sprayer has an even mist and your not holding super close to the fabric

spraying on clothes is great for those perfumes that turn weird when in contact with your skin's ph. for example some perfumes can turn too "soap-y" on me and even get me to feel sick... but sprayed on clothes they mentain their original smell

Perfumes are made for the skin, the problem with putting them on clothes is that the perfume will not make its complete evolution. Personally, I spray my skin first and then I spray something on the clothes, well, it is true on clothes. It lasts longer but it does not evolve like it does on the skin, do the test and you will confirm what I tell you.

These are nice tips by Jeremy, i have been wearing fragrances for 1 year now and have noticed that it takes about 6 months of using a fragrance to know whether you really like it or not. I’ve used fragrances that I’ve been on the fence about but can’t live without now and also have fragrances that I’ve liked in the beginning but have cooled off on. Research your fragrance online, see what people have to say but ultimately go down to a fragrance store to test it out yourself instead of buying blindly and possibly wasting money. Also get a few fragrances so you can use it for different occasions, one to throw on when you’re going to the gym or just stepping outside for a bit, another for formal occasions or special events.

Don’t overspray isn’t said enough in the frag head community. I remember a couple KZbinrs trying to say it’s ok to spray 20 or 30 times or more. Like are you insane. There’s fragrances that I can smell in the air for hours after one spray. My girl wears montale instense cafe and after two sprays I can SMELL her whenever she’s around. Do not spray yourself 10 , 20 , 30 times. It’s obnoxious and attention seeking. Just because people don’t tell you that you’re too strong doesn’t mean they aren’t talking behind your back saying it

You can put it on the skin just make sure you get a hot towel, open the pours, use a oil then use the fragrance. This hack will make your fragrance last longer because the skin is moisturized and the fragrance will sit on top of it for a long time because it’s not going to absorb in the skin.

Buy parfume strength for longer lasting scent and you absolutely spray it on your skin and rub it to warm it up, not rub it in. The warmth activates the ingredients to release their aromas.

Last mistake. Listen to any of these suggestions. Fragrance performes stronger on skin but longer on clothes. Your choice but I spray on both.

For me the problem I have is my natural musk. It works really well with Blue by D&G Eau do Toilette but not with the Eau de Parfume so the former doesn't last as long but smells better on me.

Nah that's bs. It projects better when on the skin because the skin is warmer than your clothes. But this will result in the scent evaporating faster as well.
