When I wear my colognes, I always wear according to the weather. If it’s summer time, I prefer the clean, fresh, light citrus scent. When it’s cold, I go with the dark, cedar wood, pepper, tobacco scented ones.

La Nuit de L'homme was the first fragrance I ever bought and stands out with it's Lavender and Cardamom sexiness. My spray routine is behind my two ears and back of my neck. Guys, Eau De Parfums are not always stronger than an Eau De Toilette. The best thing you can do is sample colognes and see what lasts longest on you, it varies Cologne to cologne.

Hello, perfumer here! I can confirm this, the strength of a fragrance is more dependent on the essential oils/aromachemicals used, for example, woods will last longer than citrus, and aromachemicals will (usually) last longer than essential oils!

Hello Aaron & gentleman, I hope no one minds if I add to this subject, I love fragrances and have picked up quite a lot of knowledge from a lot of men and women who work in the fragrance industry. One of the most sexiest aspect about a man is when he knows how to wear a fragrance. All fragrances have what is called a Sillage which means how far the fragrance can be smelled from the body. The Strength of a fragrance is how strong smelling it is. And the Longevity means how long on the body it will last. A frangrance will last longer on oily skin. Always test the fragrance first before you buy, store ALL your fragrances in a cool dark dry place because heat and moisture will change the liquid on a molecular level and may not last as long. Especially if it is highly concentrated and expensive. I agree with Aaron that they should be applied after the shower but, wait for your skin to dry a little. Always apply them prior to getting dressed and I have also found that the best places have been where you will perspire. Like right above your bellybutton, the back of the neck, chest. No more than two sprays and remember what type of place you will be going. No one wants to be eating your cologne..lol Be responsible with fragrances because a lot of people are sensitive. Women also like having to smell a man when we get a hug because that means that getting close is the only way to smell how sexy you are. Hope this info helps ❤

I think another thing to remember is the seasons. Certain fragrances are good for only spring, summer same for winter/fall since our body chemistry changes. It will impact the longevity and the distance it reaches others.

1. Concentration doesnt always deliver performance, for example : Dior sauvage edt performs as well if not better than edp or parfum. Most tom ford freshie last about 3 hours eventhough its edp 2. Fragrancenet is legit, buy from them but expect slow shipping (2 weeks) 3. His recommendation are good, but its very played out meaning there are lots of people who smells like you. Shop and test around, theres alot of good affordable scents out there that smells as good and interesting 4. Spraying your clothes are good sometimes, it helps your fragrance stay and lingers way longer than your skin, regardless of pulsepoints or not. Just make sure its not a bright color piece or it can be stained. 5. Dont spray your neck, you go noseblind to the fragrance very fast, sprays the back of your ears and it will performs the same way, plus leaving a good trail behind your back while not making you noseblind Take it from a fragrance snob :)

Also if you’re a person who often in physical contact with others then you should spray once on one of your wrists and then put other wrist agianst the sprayen one. Press them togheter, don’t rub them, press them together. I asked a lady who worked at a perfume/stylist or something and when i asked How you should apply parfumes/callougnes you shouldn’t rub them together because it’ll break the molekular Bond that made the parfume smell good in the first place. You should press them togheter until they dry. If you press, the smell will last longer compared to if you had robbed it. Just something that i wanted to tell

I have quite a bit of experience with fragrances, so here's a closer look at Alpha's recommendations: Creed Aventus: Smoky, rich, woody, with a fruity opening. Probably the most complimented men's fragrance on the market. Dior Sauvage: Ambroxan bomb, but smell extremely good. Huge compliment getter. La Nuit De l'Homme: Spicy, lavender and cardamom fragrance. Smells seductive and masculine. Acqua Di Gio Profumo: Alpha didn't mention he meant the 'Profumo' version. Great aquatic fragrance with a darker, richer touch to it. Tom Ford Tobacco Oud: Very polarising fragrance. You either love it or you hate it. Aaron. Never on the neck, the alcohol and solvents in the fragrance are not good for the skin in that area which most easily dry out. Spray just above your clavicles, in that little depression on your shoulder. Your wrist is good as when you move your arms the scent fills the air. Hope that helps

I have Dakar, Fahrenheit, Polo classic, eternity, and cool water. I live in a tropical climate, so I wear the muskier scents in rainy season (May to Septemer) and the sweeter ones in the dry season (mid January to April) . Cold season I use all varieties (October to mid January). Only 1 spray on the chest and wipe my wrist to the chest after I spray.
