That's one thing I started doing is my own compost..I have got two guinea pigs so I get loads of bits of veg & salad.. I collect oak tree leaves aswell & feed my soil with them, tea bags.. The main thing with gardening, the most important thing is your soil/compost.. I love the way you give us an example with watering the soil, you explained things really well without complicating it,love how relaxing the video is,your voice is nice & calm.. Thankyou for sharing your knowledge & advice with us.. Have a lovely day ✌️☮️🍄🏵️✌️☮️🍄🏵️

I'm so pleased you like the style of the videos (and me!). I bet those Guinea pigs of yours defiantly keep you busy! But if they keep your composting material up, it's worth it!

Have you been gardening for a long time Tomos? You are very knowledgeable. I only got really keen when I bought my own house but I do remember sowing some Mesembryanthemum seeds when I was about seven. I really like your compost bin and your Fuchsia too.

For me, I’ve always loved growing things! When I was younger, I had more interest in agriculture, but when I got my own raised beds 2 years ago, I started to become more interest in horticulture. I’m glad you like the fuchsia and compost bin! I would say that fuchsias are may favourite flower! Very classy! 🌱🌺

Nice video mate. When using grass clippings as a mulch, I tend to dry it in the sun before using it to stop the grass from matting up. Cheers!

That’s such as good idea, I’ll give that a go next time! Thanks for you comment 👍

When you dry it in the sun you are letting nitrogen fall wherever you have the drying mulch which is fine if you let it dry where you want it but otherwise you may just be wasting nitrogen on a patch of grass that doesn't feed you. Cheers

My grass is actually all weeds so I can’t use it unless I just want to propagate more weeds. 😢

@@krisy-in-italy oh no! 😩 Hopefully it improves! 🤞

You can, it just needs to sit in water so it ferments and kills any seeds, takes about 16 weeks. Look up something like, "weed compost tea". I use a big bucket with a lid and shove all my weeds inside and a few months later and I have very bad smelling but strong fertilizer.
