I'm just starting to learn to let go of trying to draw nice/finished drawings in my sketchbooks and just draw everything that comes to mind. However intimidating they are. Also slowly moving to fill up my pages and most importantly EXPERIMENTING in it. I now understand what Picasso was saying with his quote " It took me 4 years to paint like Raphael but a lifetime to paint like a child " You ask a child to paint something and they just do it without thinking and agonizing over it. They're FREE. Nothing holding them back, aside from the technical stuff but they do not hesitate to put down the first stroke. Unlike most of us. FREEDOM IS WHAT I'M AFTER.

One thing that often holds me back with art is that I'm too much of a perfectionist, when I make things that I don't like I get discouraged and less motivated to draw, something I'm triyng to learn more is to accept that someitmes I'll make ugly art and it's ok to not be perfect, I can't wait to try out these ideas and just have fun with it rather than worry about how it looks ^^

I've kind of been doing the scrapbooking method - but not with scraps - sometimes I just slap the label of a product I like or I draw on a separate piece and make it rough on purpose just for the looks when it's stuck in :D

I like to do thumbnail sketches and collages in my sketchbook. The scrapbook idea would be awesome to do!

what a fun and inspiring video. I have not been wanting to do art and am just getting back into the grove. The funny thing is that I have been using most of the methods you mentioned. I am doing studies and animal drawing anatomy etc. I haven't done a blob challenges in ages and have blobs drying now, I am looking forward to finishing them. I am going to look for the drawing challenges to have lists of things to help motivate me when I need them. right now I have more ideas than time or ability. Thanks so much for the videos that you do.

I’ve been noticing throughout your recent videos, the pigeons in your area look very different to mine. Here ours are nowhere near as plump, and definitely not as large. Your pigeons also seem to have a blue sheen to them. Ours are simply pale grey with darker grey, they don’t have the same gleam yours do. I can’t help but wonder why?
