What I like about watching your videos is that we both have the same pants and helmet style/colour. When I wear your black boardarchive hoodie, I look like you in your videos. So, when I watch you doing these tricks, I imagine it's me to help with my visualization.

Flexing the knee is key and yes, a board that isn't too stiff.. especially on the slopes. In powder different story and less difference

Whenever I try a tail press I always feel like my front leg is getting pulled out of my pelvis, any suggestions?
@User_R4nD0MnUmb3R5
@User_R4nD0MnUmb3R5 Жыл бұрын
Try start the press with more flexion on both knees, focus on shifting your hips back without twisting it.your front leg should still have flexion,Make sure you are using passive muscle tension to pull up the nose, instead just pulling on your leg.

I would always start such tutorials by mentionning that butters are basically impossible for beginners when done on stiff boards. That's the most important factor of success. Then comes training. Once you're getting better, buttering on stiffer boards is possible. Always wanted to butter: So bought a soft board and learned it. Then bought a medium stiff board: still ok. And now am buying a very stiff board and given my experience I am sure that I will still pull off 3/4 of my butter repertoire. But that repertoire would not exist, had I not started building it with a soft board.

@@maness2112 Right and I was one of them (advanced driver but 0 butter repertoire). So I sold it and got an Evil Twin. Learned a shitton of butters on that and a NS SL/Legacy. After a Yes Great I am now switching to the Mega Merc

How important is it to have a freestyle board (vs. all mountain), assuming they have the same flex? I'm deciding between the Rossignol Evader and District. Given my style (ie. not planning to do parks), I was leaning towards the all-mountain Evader. But I do want to start learning these butter tricks.

@@VictorLanCanada Hey man, Flex is most important. It does not matter that much if it's a true twin or a directional twin. But yeah, the more set-back / directional the board is, the more nose and the less tail you have and thus the more you can mostly only butter on the nose as the tail is smaller

Is Mountain Twin too stiff? Got This cause it was said to be the "do it all board" but I see it's a medium flex. Im intermediate when it comes to all day riding but I'm new to flat tricks. Thanks. If needed I'll try and get a secondhand park board but I don't have many pennies left after this buy :D

Sometimes, when tail or nose pressing, I feel my leg being pulled from my hip, I kinda feel the bone clicking as if it was coming out of the pelvic bone. Does anyone feel the same? It's a bit scary, but I started to put my knees together when I press and I don't do half the force on my legs.

@@jacoblee8181 I don't think so. I use a mid/high flex board. It's weird... But yeah, just pull your knees together while pressing, it works just fine. :)

Awesome video getting so pumped for this upcoming season. Is there any way to get a black board archive transfer sticker made? Wanna complete my KZbin helmet sticker collection (rocking a classic 2.0 because your style is on point) for all my dudes that got me back into shredding and this is the main one missing

Your heavy jargon and over complicated explanations are probably less helpful to people who don't even know how to butter.
