That game against Brazil is a show to witness. Nothing will equal watching it live back in 2006 but still, to anyone who haven't seen it yet I recommand you to find a stream or something and watch it. The way Zidane took all the lights against such a stacked Brazilian squad was a rare thing of beauty. This dude made some of the very best players in the world (some even being absolute legends of the game) look like kids...

That quarter final in 2006 he was levels above the rest like the thought that he would "Sombrero" legend after legend in all Brazil's lines and dominate the midfield like it was his playground and he is bullying all the other kids and assist the only goal in the match, that was one of the greatest performance i've seen in a world cup match let alone a quarter final against one of Brazil's greatest lineups is just crazy.

me too. 2 times I had the luck to see him in a stadium. Every times the ball comes to him, all the people was on top attention and then gozando jouissant ( i dont now the word in english). In Corea , the french team stay looking at him and not mooving . The coach says you are not only to see and let him alone. They lose.

Zizou is loved in France firstly because of his humble personality. I am proud of my country to have welcomed Zizou’s extraordinary parents in the 60´s and to have offered him the opportunity to develop his extraordinary skills. The 2006 final red card is of no importance to me, as he brought so much to the football, he is a human being after all and that all what counts. Long live Zizou!

The game v England at Wembley in 2000 deserves a mention. The one Anelka scored 2 goals. The Zidane passing in that game was phenomenal. The scooped through ball for the disallowed goal which did cross the line. Then some minutes later zidane scoops another pass and Anelka finishes emphatically. That was pure prime Zidane.
