My favorite is the -Sword of Champions- dropped by -Lotan the Lost- inside -The Well of Skelos- its the best short sword in the game. Drop rate is 30% and with a low durability of 900, ive had to farm it many times.

Don't forget about the claws that you can find on the bench on the East entrance of the den. They're a great early game start as you can run around the 2 NPCs at the fire and snatch the claws at a very low level.
