Noticed you don't mention a MIDI workflow between the Aeros and Beat Buddy. Singular Sound's website has some pretty cool demos of what's possible with that set-up in terms of time synchronization between loops and beats which looks awesome. The Maestro MIDI foot controller ties it all together seamlessly, at least in their marketing demo.

Nice looper and set up with BB...but it is quite pricey. Also, not sure how convenient it is with so few foot switches compared to something like the RC-500 which offers full 32-bit audio quality, dual channel stereo, and built in drums at about half the price.) Technically this looper can probably do more in the hands of a pro, but for practical, every day use, I think most players would be very happy with the RC-500 or alike. The BB is a great band in the box tool- should be a steeper discount if bundled together or better yet, incorporate into a singular pedal.

Hey! You’ll basically need a small mixer that will be placed in the front of the setup. Plug your guitar in one channel and your vocals into another channel. Then out of the mixer and into the Aeros. That's easily another $80 so you incentivizing me to go directly to Singular Sound with free shipping saved me $210. THANK YOU and I hope that goes back to you in some way.

@GuitarZero2Hero3 жыл бұрын
@@wizardmix I'll have a listen Evan - can't guarantee anything though :) Great to hear you got a bass background - sounds like you'll be laying down some fun bass grooves on the looper to play on top of! When you get the looper don't be afraid to reach out to singular sound if you need help, their support is pretty good. It takes some experimenting to understand how it works but once you do, it's a lot of fun!
@wizardmix3 жыл бұрын
@@GuitarZero2Hero Thanks for considering it. "American Tune" is a beautiful guitar line very much in the spirit of "Blackbird" and "Dust in the Wind." Before I leave this planet I want to learn to play that song and of all the tutorials out there, I think you've nailed how I learn and my passion for detail. You really are remarkable in that. I've been waiting for this exact elegant looping system to be invented. I just wanted a beautiful writing tool for my bass, synths, vocals and hopefully my improving guitar skills that I could possibly take out on gigs. I'm excited to see how bass can play into it for sure! Great to hear that the tech support is solid and all the expansion features you mentioned (such as being able to copy/freeze foundational tracks into a new part) are perfect. I've always admired how Quincy Jones produced and hired musicians to create simple parts that syncopate together to make a sound sound larger than life. That's the avenue I want to go down with it. Believe it or not, purchasing this setup will be a simplification to where I once was and I couldn't be happier about it. My last project was very Ableton/live looping heavy -- not so much me but our singer/guitar/keyboard player. I wanted to get more into live looping with bass, synths and vocals but I did not want to make our live setup any more complicated than it already was (AND IT WAS).... We had so much tech on stage it felt to me like we were losing our humanity! Indeed we were. It was a real nightmare to set up and get the mix to sound good live. If something didn't glitch out at least once, it was a miracle. I cannot tell you how many times front of house saw our setup and said "just give us a stereo pair or a CAT 5 and we'll use your iPad to control FOH." As soon as they heard that bass was in stereo, they knew they were in for it! Ableton is great and robust. Using a computer to generate all of your FX is great but all of the technical issues and crashes were not worth it. We'd always have to worry about the computer overheating or processor glitching out. It was always something that caused a panic right before we started playing. I'm an old believer in purpose hardware. Something that was designed to do a set of tasks and nothing else. So now that I left that mad, mad project with tech PTSD, this system seems like a dream! TMI? -- Thanks for being, listening and all the rest! I'll certainly be watching. -Evan

How do you keep track of which song part is active other than memory if elements between parts share the same structure and chords? The parts appear to be sequential along the top track timeline and subsequent timelines appear to be synchronized with it. Very confusing interface in this regard. Anything that simplifies keeping track of where you are while attempting to perform and manage your looped self accompaniment would hel a lot. Beat Buddy is awesome in that regard - Aeros has some development ahead of it. Is there a way to simultaneouly mute the current track and switch to a different track rather than a song part and remain in time?

Trying to find a successor to my RC-300... not easy. RC-505 is table only, the new RC-500 lacks tracks capabilities, Boomerang becomes old and yeah... the headrush is super nice but gigantic indeed. Just found this Aeros device and it seems to check all boxes for me. Capabilities, space saving, floor unit and this 2x2 or 6x6 mode is genius !!! I play in bedroom mode, guitar -> pedalboard stereo effects -> looper -> 2 amps for direct stereo output (so I cannot use any FX loops in amps in this setup) Playing clean mainly, ambient, cool relaxing songs,... That's why I love the stereo output to give me space in my sound. Do you know if I could integrate this Aeros + beat buddy in such a setup ?
@GuitarZero2Hero4 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael! Pretty sure you would be able to get this setup working. If this is your current setup you’re using with your RC-300 then I would suspect there’d be no issues. The only thing I’d say is that the Beat Buddy does sound much better on a full range speaker like a PA or studio monitors. It can sound ok through an amp but not at its full potential. If you want to be 100% certain then I’d email their support team (they’re generally very responsive) to ask about your setup :) good luck!
