My sister and her boyfriend share a birthday, he’s a mechanic himself and I bought him the icon 1/4 bit set and he loves it 🤙🏽 I also bought them a mini tool box but that’s for Christmas, got them matching red boxes and they were the last 2 in stock on Black Friday 😂

I have an old set of Craftsman 8pt sockets in 3/8" and 1/2" drive. I use 'em for square drain plugs on small engines and old tractors. :)

8 point sockets are great for square head set screws. You don't come across them often but when you do the 8 point is the best.

I have an Icon knife...bent the holy crud out of the clip when I was getting out of my truck. I took it back, fully prepared to buy a new one I like it so much. THEY WARRANTIED IT!!! For a bent belt clip!!!! Yea, I'm happy as all get out with it!

Ive got 2 of those mini icon bit kits (which I love. I also use a couple rubber bands to attach a small Makita socket rail to them). I've also got a Wera tool-check and some other DIY kits. Know what is better than the icon kit? Ya, the NEW ICON kit with sockets!!! Oh wait, it's been over a year and we still don't have it!! Or do we? Everyone knows that the Craftsman V-Series socket kits are made by the same company, right? So go and have a look at the pics from the tool show of the upcoming ICON kit with sockets and compare to the 1/4" V-Series kit. Yep, it's pretty obvious that it's the same kit, slightly modified. Also, the icon kit will be $80. The V-Series is on sale for $39 (the same price as the current icon kit without sockets). I've slightly modified my V-Series kit by putting a V-Series flexhead ratchet (vs fixed head) and I added a gear wrench 15mm that I simply put upside down on the 1/4" driver/handle. So everyone is waiting and waiting to spend $80 on a kit that has basically been avail for $40 for the past several weeks, right underneath our noses

Got the 1/4" on sale for $60 as a gift for myself lol. I like it but the ICON 1/4" does not feel as good as there 3/8" drive rathets, but the case with the foam and designed so nothing falls out. One other minor complaint is no handle like the 3/8 kit. For the sale price though extremely happy, full price is not bad either for what it is, but unless it's a gift I would wait for at least 20% off but I'm cheap.
