Richa, Aditi and Manisha were always great actresses. But, Sonakshi stunned me with her performance. The first scene was so powerfully done.

Specifically the way she pronounces urdu. The other actress is clearly mispronouncing Khuda and Khauf but sona was flawless there too. Only the goldsmith knows what a diamon worths, SLB really polished sonakshi and it shows.

In that fountain scene, literally everyone is on peak acting but Alamzeb, the one who should be the most broken and sad has the same dead expression. Her mother sacrificed herself for her but her face has zero guilt, pain or regret.

Mallikajaan such a toxic...She keep forcing alamzed to become tabayaf against her will...At the party when no one knows who is alamzeb ,she tell everyone she is her daughter... After that everything just massed....She killed her elder sister,also always insult younger sister, responsible for face scar...Once she insulted british officer....

@@snehamomlifestyle yes all of that is true, and personally, I was rooting for Fareedan to destroy her, but still what happened at the station shouldn't have happened to her. That's just sick to think about for a woman. Other than that, she was the worst 'person' because she deliberately harmed and hurt other women, Rehana, Fareedan (who was 9 years old, so a child, not even a woman), Waheeda, even Saima - Malika was the worst

sanjeeda as aunt was not A miscast , it might be to show the inequality of ages between the siblings like someone who is fairly younger than the older ones, which was very common in those times and also probably became a mother way too young which is a poison of these places.... or someone who looks very young for their age but internally is a very shrewd and matured before age kinda person... it was one of the highlighting factor of the series....

Heeramandi is an amazing experience although the ending is weak. After watching it, one is left with nothing.. yet as a viewing experience, it is excellent! One must watch it for the performances, visuals, romance between the lead pair, and a decent drama that holds the viewer almost throughout.

watch the series before commenting nonsense. in the series sanjida was way younger than manisha. her age was closer to her nieces. she also referred lajjo as "aapa." in that time, women got pregnant at an early age so it makes sense and no all of them do not look older than her. aditi literally looks younger??? even sanjida's daughter. I'm pretty sure waheea was only 2/3 years older than her nieces. even my niece is a year younger than me.

Netflix India, "CREW" is trending in multiple countries which is amazing, but it could have also entered more country markets had you provided with different language subtitle options. If you look at Korean shows there are two main reasons they are trending worldwide on Netflix: 1. They have titles in English, since "CREW" was in english it had a better chance, like for example "The Railway Men" did. And "JAANE JAAN" despite being released with it's original name in India, was released worldwide with it's english title "Suspect X" . This is the reason it was trending. I would recommend applying this strategy to ALL the new content released from India. 2. The language options both dubbed and subtitles are available in MANY more languages. "HEERAMANDI" was a good example. It entered country markets indian content on Netflix had not reached before due to the availability of subtitles in languages like "Greek" etc... Do keep these in mind for future content and whoever the moderator of the comments is, do bring this to the attention of your seniors so you can implement these strategies ASAP 🔥💯

Polite criticism and opinions are very good but wishing for the character to die/be eliminated in my opinion is really outrageous. Because all of Heeramandi's characters are very good and work hard to show their best. Malicious comments will not make an actor or actress better, but it will only make them stressed so they cannot correct their mistakes.

I think Sharmin did exactly what was needed for the character. I enjoyed her innocence in Heeramandi. Every innocent teenage girl behaves like that. Not every onscreen actress needs expressions, while portraying a character of a girl who is born in Heeramandi, taught to be courtesan by adding different flavours of expressions. She is hesitant to use those expressions and wants to stay away being a courtesan. I think she was perfect in her role. Audience is just overwhelmed with swaying expressions all the time.

Writing of the series is very bad. If makers wanted to make a show on impact of britishers on heeramandi and contribution of courtseans in rebellion then they should have focused on that and personal rivalry and politics should have taken a back seat. And if makers wanted to focus on politics of courtseans and their personal rivalry then ending should have been suited to that. Other than this as you said characters were badly written, Mallukajaan's character was inconsistent as hell , Waheeda , even if she was greedy ,was literally betrayed and ridiculed by everyone she trusted whether its mallika or fareedan but The moment fareedan betrayed her she turned loyal to mallikajaan jist like that। Also she and Shama were polar opposite but tuned allies because? They are mother and daughter ? It didn't stop waheeda to abuse shama and shama to betray waheeda before so why suddenly? Lajjo's character arc was best but ended just like that। Saima's character disappeared just like that , most illogical was tajdar's father giving him to police and I won't even start over the ending , it could be heart touching but was cringey AF। Most messed up thing was that characters had no backstory except fareedan , mallika and waheeda and no development। How did Lajjo became so delusional ? How did Bibojaan became patriot ? Wali's feelings towards Bibi ? The show is epitome of bad writing and is saved simply because of glamour , music , lyrics , costume, screenplay, cinematography and yeah acting of some actors ( not all ) And marketing। How can I forget about glorifying courtesan culture .
