Regarding the key fob slot... I've heard of people using it to store their fob while driving... A couple of years later, it no longer holds their fob. Also, it does not charge the fob. The fob has a non rechargable, replaceable battery. And lastly... if you unlock with one key fob and try to start with another (van will look for a fob in driver's seat) it'll ask you to put it in the slot... or if the battery is dead in the fob or the fob is not in the van, etc.

Thanks for the insight re: the fob.

Mercedes lane keep assist is the worst thing ever. The most annoying thing is that it will not stay on when turned of. Huge thumbs down to Mercedes!

It's not our favorite feature either, but can understand the safety intent behind it.

Great content. Regarding the key fob slot, the vehicle asks for you to put the fob in the slot if you have locked the vehicle using the key fob and then you try to start the car because the vehicle doesn’t know if you were inside or outside the vehicle when you locked it. Kind of a safety feature to prevent stealing. This usually happens to me if I locked the vehicle at night when going to sleep, and then I try to start the engine in the morning when I wake up. The other workaround to putting the fob in the slot is to unlock the vehicle with the fob before starting the engine.

Really appreciate the insight and makes a lot of sense, especially as a safety feature. We'll pay attention the next time we lock the vehicle from the inside, start it and see if we get the notification. Glad you enjoyed the video and hope the road takes you to some Epic Adventures.

I second that! So informative, professionally done, and love your humor - extremely entertaining. I might just go out and buy a STO because of you. Love your dog BTW.

Man, thank you for making these videos. Love that you are highlighting all the little things that make our units special and unique. Also love the daily unit use tips for driving. The handoff training to customers is hard to make consistent across all dealers and creating content for everything is a challenge. You're doing awesome! Sincerely, the storyteller designers.

Dillon, thanks for the note and we're stoked that we get to share this with fellow adventurers... especially about a SOLID product/company like Storyteller. We've always found it helpful to hear from folks using the gear in the field. Thanks for all you and the @StorytellerOverland Team do. We'll keep the content coming & let us know if we can ever be of Service.

Thanks for tjis video. I particularly loved the chill mode. This 3rd seat option can be used in many different ways. Lane keep assist off fast and easy is a good tip as well.

We really enjoy using the seat buttons to get the cabin set up quickly (especially Chill Mode) and the lane keep assist quick off, has come in quite handy. Appreciate the feedback and thanks for tuning into the channel.

Good to know, thanks for the insight. I have not needed to charge my key fob yet, but will give it a go when it comes the time. Thanks for watching.

What would you suggest for a similar vehicle but with a more robust shower/toilet option?
@JosephCabreraExplore11 ай бұрын
The "Revel" made by Winnebago is another great option, with many folks who really like it. It has a dedicated shower and toilet. You lose some of the "Open" flow and feel the Storyteller provides, but great for folks looking for a dedicated bathroom. The Revel's toilet cassette system also seems like a useful set up. There are some really great custom rigs out there as well, but you might start with checking out the Revel at a local dealership and see what you think. Hope that helps - Adventure On.

Does it have a digital rear view mirror?

No digital mirror from factory, but that would be a great feature and I'm sure something that can be done aftermarket. Thanks for checking out the video.

Just a caveat that you don’t want to rotate the seats “outwards”. Always rotate in towards the center. I haven’t played with the seats enough to find a single setting to rotate the seat and feel comfortable with the positioning. So I use 1 for driving. 2 is seat forward to position it for rotation. 3 is seat backward for your “chill mode”.
@JosephCabreraExplore11 ай бұрын
Great Point- We always rotate the chair toward the center as well. I think the proximity to the door won't allow it to rotate the other direction, no matter what the seat setting. We haven't found one seat setting that would fit all scenarios, but between both of our options/techniques- Chill Mode is just a few buttons away. Adventure On.
@ccartee111 ай бұрын
@@JosephCabreraExplore I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear. I haven’t found one seat position to combine the “rotate” and “chill” positions. So as I said, the #1 setting is for driving. #2 is for seat all the way forward. This is the position I use to rotate from driving to rear facing. It is convenient to rotate, but when it is rear facing, it is now too far back. So that is where #3 is my “chill” position when the front seats are rear facing. So my point is that you have #1/#2 as drivers settings. And your #3 is a combination “rotate”/“chill”.
@JosephCabreraExplore11 ай бұрын
All good and makes sense@@ccartee1. Our #3 is for rotating, but like you said, not very comfortable position to sit. We just go back to seating position #1 after we rotate (Good enough Driving and Chilling position for us).
