@Proletariat From a quick Google search: "Each liter of seawater contains, on average, about 13 billionths of a gram of gold." Over (a long) time, the waves deposit the heavier gold particles onto beaches all over the world, so much of the extracting process has already been done naturally. I don't pretend to know much about the topic, but I would guess that the black sand has a property that allows it to collect more gold particles than are washed back out. It's a very cool concept, but it's too bad I live on mudfront property. :D

It blows my mind that everybody tries to justify the cost versus time like a job. They can't seem to understand this is something you love to do and is a hobby. Ask them how much they get paid to play golf or go swimming ? How much do you get paid to go camping or to ride a bike ? Why is everything always have to be pinned to money which is just a piece of paper. Very SAD

Dredge the American river up near Placerville, CA. by the Alpha & Omega mine tailings piles. Right about the end of the inside bend of the river there. I regularly pulled a quarter ounce average per day from there. Black sand is little pay-off compared to having a river, a dredge and a sluice doing your work for you. Always got enough gold to get a hotel room, a steak dinner, a tank of gas, beer, ice, bullets, some entertainment time sitting at a slot machine up in Tahoe. Cool, Truckee...plenty of interesting towns through there. Gold fever is real, gold becomes your every thought. You don't expect to get rich at all. The wealth is in the being out in most beautiful nature, the fun of the hobby, the dreams, the excitement of finding a nugget. It pays *just* enough to keep your hopes up! ha ha! Even made up for time away from work. Bears and criminals are the only problems. I carried a lever action .44 Magnum rifle and a Dan Wesson .357 for the criminals and a can of spray for the curious bears that I love too dearly to shoot at. "Go on, big furry fella - I aint got no lunch for ya!" Ha ha! I smile even now, thinking about how them bears scurry off if you just wave your arms and shout at them! Bless their hearts.The equipment was paid for within 9 months, It probably paid for my new Chevy Blazer, too. I met many good, rough honest people. I would hand a local a hand-held CB radio, set the channel and have my emergency line...buy him or her a dinner and drink when I got back. I did hear-tell of a feller getting his hip waders filled up with that ice-cold river water, going numb, couldn't fight any more, drowned in two and a half feet of water. There was a very fancy four star restaurant right off of I-50 that I would coffee-up at. Waiter hand-roasted, hand ground and percolated a pot (fine silver) just for you, stood beside you the whole time there, towel draped over arm. Silk doily on the saucer. Bone porcelain china, fine silver tableware. I'd hand him my dirty rusty beat-up old Union Carbide thermos that grampa used fishin' salmon in Alaska back in the 40's. The Maitre D' asked how one holds their little pinky out while sipping from the tin cup thermos cap. Great times. THAT, my friend - is the wealth one gains from prospectin'.

Bill Cosby ha ha!! That’s funny! Early 80’s and such, ya know. I bought my three HK’s there. Model 91, model 93, .45 compact. California used to be a bit sensible still. Some parts of California - the people don’t pay much mind to the commie filth wretches - or their hatred of constitutional freedoms or the like. There’s freedom for those that TAKE it. For those that command it. I earned it in Grenada and Honduras, wouldn’t have some freak having any say in it, either. It’s common in them parts still to this day to be prepared out in them parts. I ignore laws that are illegal anyway. Better to maybe offend some Frisco freak than to set myself up to be a victim.

In my final clean up if I was getting a lot of fine gold like that, as you pointed out yourself some will float on the surface tension. I would put a drop or 2 of washing up detergent in the pan and that stopped any of it floating and possibly getting lost ...... again. Pretty good result for the amount of ground you put through, just a pain that it's so very fine.

The thing is, you made $187 in today's value. The great thing is gold being the standard, your payday will never be less that it was on the day you earned it. That is a beautiful thing. My first job was minimum wage making $4.25/hr kinda crazy to think minimum wage has pretty much doubled in 25 years and you aren't any better off.
@EvilSearchEngine
@EvilSearchEngine 6 жыл бұрын
I say the same thing every time someone tells me the minimum wage is too low: Show me someone who got rich from the minimum wage going up. Basic math. Minimum wage is for entry-level, unskilled labor. That's the very basis of the economy: digging ditches, stocking shelves, asking if they want fries with that (Not hating: I deliver pizza). If the cost of that unskilled labor goes up, then the prices of the products go up. Ergo, the unskilled, minimum wage worker now has to pay more for the products they buy. Fucking magic!!! XD

@EvilSearchEngine-- Your logic is flawed by the fact that prices ALWAYS go UP, even if wages don't. Minimum wage MUST increase just to keep up with inflation, and a minimum wage increase has NEVER driven inflation, it's a fallacy. Until recently minimum wage hadn't gone up for YEARS. In fact, the minimum wage didn't go up at all for ELEVEN YEARS from 1980-1991, the Reagan/Bush years, and decades longer for "tipped workers" like waiters. While you seem to think that minimum wage is only for teenagers, if you actually look at who is receiving minimum wage you will see that most minimum wage workers are actually adults, most with small children to support. Many of those minimum wage earners have educations and college degrees but can't find jobs in their fields. It's not nearly as simple as you've made it out to be.

Some years ago my sister bought a property in Oregon, it had a creek running through, the bed of the creek was black sand. We bought some simple equipment and started to pan for gold, off and on for three days. On the third day, the neighbor told us that five years previously a dredger had been through and cleaned out the creek. Would have had to wait about 1000 years for more to be washed down from the hills!!! I did take a jar of sand home as a reminder of my three days as a prospector. But we had fun😬

You should use an old wool blanket to get that small gold you said goes through your sluice Staple it to a 5/8" plywood after a nugget trap on a 24 degree angle . I have caught 3 grams on a blanket 6"longX12" wide . It works and I have pictures of it . The gold cube format is pretty close to what mine is designed like only I have the wool blanket on the bottom and the steeper angle . reason it works is it uses the angle of repose to get rid of the blondes and the black sands . The gold at this size is not round but flat which lends it self to being trapped in the wool blanket and the rounder blacks and blondes continue on down the sluice

At the current price of gold rounding off to $1200/oz x 0.2 ounces (4.8 grams) = $240 for 2 days work plus all the equipment cost, travel to get there, etc, ... Gold Price per Gram today is $38.86. So let's be generous and say he could retrieve 10 grams a day if he was fully operational and maximised efficiency. That's a reasonable income, but you'd spend 48 weeks per year standing in mud. I always associated gold mining with a massive windfall at some point. As opposed to actually working for a living.

Nice catch!!! I went out near my house (in the city) and decided to just test pan because im still learning and want practice. And i came upon a spot tjat is not known of, not for gold at least. And i pulled 13.3 grams out in 5 hours. No joke. I put a video up on my channel yesterday. Im scared to tell anyone where it's at to be honest. But it's definitely NOT where anyone would ever expect. I am still trying to figure out where it came from. The source. I wish i knew more people into this and wish i could trust showing someone because there is SO MUCH MORE to go and get. It's not a small spot by any means. And I didn't just get it from one spot I could have just stayed in one spot but I went from different spot to different spot until I just got tired and then I went home. And these are some big chunks to so I suspect I'm going to find some really big monkers

Do you ever use Finish ( for dishwasher ) or a drop of detergent to break the water tension so that the small finds drop to the bottom and not float? Also, in your pan, have you ever used a magnet to remove the iron black sand?
@commonconservative7551
@commonconservative7551 6 жыл бұрын
I think the magnet idea has been looked into, there has been billions of people trying to figure out the black sand problem was curious about soap and how other chems would affect it.........how about cooking the moisture out to a certain temp , then quench it with with something that makes to sand float?
@lizzymoore54
@lizzymoore54 6 жыл бұрын
commonconservative , the black sand is primarily iron so a magnet does a good job removing most of it. The Finish liquid or dish soap breaks the water tension so the tiny flakes of gold will drop to the bottom but the idea you have works after all the other has been done. Team work makes the dream work! 😉
@commonconservative7551
@commonconservative7551 6 жыл бұрын
oh man ....ideas are cool cause they lead to interesting tinkering, how about this............melt the gold and black sand together and experiment with shaking it around and just letting it melt at different temps.........then look at it and record the looks and the gold stuck to the sand, then, run it thru the sluice to capture the big meatballs of sand and gold........if it works let me know please

Everytime you touch a piece of gold you should look up to the stars, and ask yourself "where did you come from?" Looking back at the piece, you could almost hear it's answer, it's legacy is now us, but it once was to be part of the reminder of a star, the remining hope that will last for almost forever until the day that we will no longer see glittering in our sky or horizon, that day we will know just how much more there is to life than trying to acomplish something, as you could know everything about yourself and still know that you have everything.

For those who think that's not a lot of gold, they don't realize that when you're in an area that is historically known for having gold beneath the surface, there is the potential for finding quite a lot of gold. A 10' x 10' x 3' deep area can hold many thousands of dollars worth of fine gold that couldn't be seen until the dirt was processed. Gold folks call that kind "invisible gold" and it's the most abundant type in the world.

The rarity and the fact just liked diamonds, the worlds governments and corporations hoard it. There are actually TONS of diamonds that if released would drop the value of your $10,000 wedding ring to $50 bucks, the businesses hoard them without release in order to keep demand and price very high. Classic population manipulation, the downfall of the human race. Greed, power, and luciferian doctrines, the absolute golden weapon of the United States illegal deep state military industrial complex just as Eisenhower spoke of. Most of us that are awake and see the brainwashing the intelligence agencies are doing through media like CNN and MSNBC have seen this for quite some time, while also seeing and understanding the reason Donald Trump is so wildly attacked at every turn with lies and lies and lies, bc he is AGAINST this deep state and globalist plan to create a one world government. Bush Sr. and Jr, Obama, and Clinton have all been on tape talking about this plan put into motion DECADESm potentially centuries ago which is where the Illuminati conspiracies come from, yes they were real, however they are no longer called that, they go by many names now, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg group. These secret societies control EVERYTHING, and all information. They also control the most important secret human kind has ever kept, the secrets behind Extra Terrestrial visitation. President Eisenhower met with these visitors shortly after WWII and discussed concerns they had regarding nuclear weapons. Our scientists did not understand at the time that the effects of a nuclear explosion LITERALLY rip into other dimensions, these visitors since have shown their capability to literally SHUT DOWN our ballistic missile capabilities, and also launch them all by themselves. They have also on a few test launches been seen literally flying beside these missiles and circling them shooting a laser like weapon at all sides then darting off before the missile loses altitude and blows up. LINK TO SHORTER VERSION OF DISCLOSURE TESTIMONY:kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5nYgICkfc15eJKIhey will NEVER allow us to use those weapons again, our very survival and potential ERADICATION depends on not using these weapons. Everything I say here is directly from the mouts of whistleblowers from the military and government. Here is your links if you would like to here these testimonies yourself. make your self a tray similar to the gold cube but it has to be on a steeper angle 24 degrees . No matts or riffles just cover the bottom with an old wool blanket staple in place or glue. This works for fine gold very well . There is more gold and less black sand . black sand is a harder material and is more rounded ( spherical) and its angle of repose is less than the flatter softer heavier gold thus the steeper angle . I have collected similar sized gold on a tray only 12"x6" square in the order of 3 grams on one hot spot. The black sand to gold ratio was a lot closer then what you have here . the ancients were right about the golden fleece it does work
