As per me at the young age coach should encourage the kids to play their natural game and enjoy it. Once they start enjoying the game that is when the coach should embed these techniques to them. If the coach starts imposing techniques too early the kids will not explore their strength areas.

Hello coach pls look in to his back lift a bit more. As he steps back swing has to be there. Even if he plays a defensive shot bat should come down from top. That's where the batter generate power. So step and backswaing together hope you got what I mean.

Why players bat rotate while hitting the ball. That's the reason. Always hold the bat tightly from the start of the handle. If you hold like shown in this video. You will loose the grip and your bat will definatly rotate.
