Solution 1 : Never repair a brake or clutch handle as there is a risk that the repair will break. It's an inexpensive part, you don't have to cut corners on safety ! Solution 2 : The product that is manufactured is called Zinc Chloride. It is a metal stripper. You have to put the Zinc surrounding the batteries in Hydrochloric acid, the Zinc will be eaten away by the acid and it will become Zinc Chloride. But to have a good, well-concentrated stripper, you have to wait until all the Zinc is eaten away by the Acid. It can last 2 to 4 days. But you will have a much more effective stripper, with the assurance that the solder does not break ! Solution 3 : Be careful, it is dangerous to charge batteries that are not designed for that ! This method allows you to restore some energy to remote controls and clocks which do not require a lot of voltage to operate. If you want to try it, then you need to be present during charging and have the batteries in front of you. Do not exceed 10 minutes, maximum charge for safety ! Batteries could heat up and catch fire. Solution 4 : No worries ! Very good way to recycle glow plugs ! Solution 5 : No worries ! Great way to recycle things! But the black rod which is in the middle of the battery is only found in a few brands of “Zinc-Carbon” Saline batteries. It's complicated to find, almost no one uses this technology anymore. And even for certain “Zinc-Carbon” salt batteries, there is no longer this black rod in the middle. You must therefore find the brand of the batteries in the video to be sure you have the same thing. But in the batteries that we use in 2024, this is no longer found. At least in Western countries. You can only find Alkaline batteries in stores that don't have this black rod in the middle. It is better to use a 60W soldering iron directly to melt the plastic, it will go faster. You can find them on Amazon, yellow colors, with a rod attachment (soldering tip) held by two screws, to be able to put a flat rod there to melt plastic instead. Found on AliExpress. These are the cheapest soldering irons and they work great. I have one of 30W and one of 60W, it's perfect !

Ciao Otterrò il fai da te. Complimenti per l'ingegniosità. Bravo. Buona giornata. Antonio.

What I'm trying to understand is what kind of batteries he tore apart and dropped in the sulfuric acid. I see that he used the leftover as a flux, I've seen this before but can't seem to find any information on this practice. Can someone please guide me on where to find more information on this? I genuinely want to give this a try

I suggest you use gloves when handling chemicals and a fume extractor or gas mask if there is gas evaporation. Your health is the most important, especially the health systems around the world are "private" (people pay taxes and get nothing in return) now, so for the rich, who pay absolutely nothing. Why would he, the population is there to pay all their expenses... Thanks for these tips.

So your title says something about teaching the professor. Good communications helps especially having AUDIO your video has none. Your brief transcript leaves a lot to desired. Why solder the mug handle when the correct method is spot welding. Why use hydrochloric acid to clean carbon rod. Washing it in water would suffice. Adding hydrochloric acid to zinc gives zinc chlorie a flux, you call it a stripper. Your soldering wire was prefluxed. I could not watch your battery recycling. Carbon batteries are a one way reaction. Meaning it cannot be reconditioned. So much for you teaching the professor. You barely know what you're doing. That's me being nice to you by the way. Change your idiotic title.
