Store any old batteries in a plastic bag as they can leak a little acidic liquid that can damage various items like furniture etc. Also remember that any power remaining even though it may not operate your device, is still able to start a fire if left with things around it, 'wire-wool') Brilo cleaning, scouring pads, and/or solvent cloths etc.

Congratulations, truly an example of ignorance and irresponsibility. Alkaline batteries, even when depleted, should never be broken or handled in this way. Breaking a battery releases harmful substances that can contaminate the environment and harm health. These materials, like heavy metals and chemicals, must be properly disposed of at collection centers as required by law. What you're showing are not inventions, but dangerous nonsense that only contribute to pollution. Sharing content like this does a disservice to the community, and it's outrageous that people might follow this as an example. Educate yourself on what it really means to take care of the planet before spreading such environmental disasters.
