Summary : Point 1 : Understanding asynchronous nature of JavaScript (things like setTimeout(), promises etc) Point 2 : Understanding the forgiving (not throwing errors) nature of JavaScript and not letting it fool you (into following bad practices like declaring variables without let, var or const etc) Point 3 : Understanding the concept of hoisting (and not writing unreadable code with the use of hoisting), knowing the difference between var, let and const and when to use what. Point 4 : Learn modern JavaScript (JavaScript is an evolving language and new features are added every year), also avoid old JavaScript courses. Point 5 : Making lots of JavaScript projects. Learning theory is not enough and you get to learn lots of new things while making projects. Point 6 : Avoid code pollution (do not leave unnecessary code in your code base) and making too much global variables. Learn React, Next.js etc after JavaScript as they save your time.
