the correct turning pressures is what has been missing in my swing action. i had been turning but not utilizing it to actually help power the club. i've been doing the turn more to get the body out of the way so i could swing my arms down fast and hard but i'm finding that's not the real way to do it because a lot of the time i stand up and extend too soon like you showed. i also try to conjur up an image of your swing action milo and kind of mimic that and it helps. thnx.

Thanks for this video now that im actually doing the pressure shift properly I needed to remember to not just land and jump, but to use the ground to keep rotating! I could post some videos on coachnow of me getting off the ground and creating a lot of speed but I went thru half a dozen balls this weekend on the golf course lol!!!! A lot of towering hooks from me just jumping and chasing with my upper body no real opening haha

Hey Milo, Can you help me better understand setup posture. I come from an older approach to posture, as I am rating this based on how you speak on your own ‘Modern’ posture ideas. Can you lend some clarity on this, please? If I setup with a wall behind me, how far away should my heels be from the wall with my rear end actually touching the wall? I know as we swing back my rear will sink deeper beyond the wall, but I am just trying to get a detailed understanding of the actual setup. When I try to setup the way you and Athletic Motion Golf speak about it, I just feel awkward as can be. It’s like, ‘This can’t be right?” I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the great work.

I have been trying to apply this power technique. fir about 2 years with no rotary power like you describe. I am able to rotate to the top and use my right side to recenter. But when I start feeling ground pressure in my left foot and push my left hip back as you describe i seem to stop rotation and stand up move and shut of my rotation. which causes me to loose power and flip the hands at the ball just to not miss it. Just a horrible embarrassing feeling and the ball goes nowhere. Can you guys pls pls strengthen me. so frustrated. at thus point.

I've been watching Asian women's swings on instagram and was wondering if they do the same move. It appears they stay fairly centered and throw the club down as they post up or straighten the left leg at impact. it looks nice but is it powerful. Thoughts??A

I think more needs to be discussed on how much weight is shifted back to the front foot before rotating. You say the best get the weight back to the left foot the fastest but how much of the weight ? It appears to me when you squat your weight is 50/50 into the heels before rotating.

Great vid. Video idea- I remember you saying to someone in your videos to feel like your engaging the bounce/sole of an iron. I wasn’t sure what you meant and it’d make a good video. Recently I‘ve been steep on one swing then shallow the next and contact was a bit off/face too closed (ball flights and trajectory show me this) kinda digging too. Anyway I started imagining I was swinging the sole of the club and put my ‘focus’ on the bounce skimming the ground. When I do this A lot of good things are happening e.g. i am doing the trail hand ‘door-knob’ twist naturally and not ‘tipping out’ because it feels like I have to in order to get the bounce to the ground. Shots now good height and a lot more carry. It’s hard to explain but I thought the simple change of focus was interesting and I remembered that you had mentioned feeling the bounce at impact or something similar. Thought it could make an interesting video. Sorry for the essay😂. Not easy to explain in words.

Milo, with someone learning the new pattern of swinging, out of these five keys, would there be one that you who have a beginner start with, like learning about the proper foot work, or is just a process of mixing in all the different elements at the same time?

There are not enough golf instruction videos that discuss ground forces and what the feet are doing in the swing. I think because golf instruction is so heavily focused on what the chest and shoulders and hands are doing, that's what all people focus on. Then we wonder why coming over the top and spinning out is so common. Nobody focuses on the lower body. Thank you for this!

Great Video, haven't watched the other 4 yet! Key phrase is "putting energy into the golf club" I like to see it as putting energy into or loading/releasing between the grip and centre of the shaft, you could feel you could break the shaft (ov imposs)! An easy way for a good athlete/sportsman to do it is with dynamic arm action But, if you can do it with rotation/ground pressure and Sequencing as well, you will become a great ball striker even under pressure.
