Sometimes you want someone to show you new ideas. For example, like you did with the shimmer green you used (which turned out great)! Keep doing you! Love watching!

Loving the nostalgia this video idea gives. I really got into makeup in 2018 and that was almost overwhelming to feel like I was learning about what is good/bad and feeling like I was playing catch-up with so many great releases at the time. The only palette of these 5 that I have is Soft Glam, I purchased after I got engaged in 2019. I planned on using it for my eventual wedding. Fast forward to this day, still not married. 2020-21 was obviously a mess and not the time to gather. But over the last few years I have developed my makeup preferences. I went cruelty free at the end of 2018 and turned makeup into a hobby. I also love the inspiration this video idea gives to use what you have and find new ways to enjoy my collection. Although there are so many new releases on my wishlist, I have a weird sense of loyalty to the makeup I already own. Thanks for another great video, Sam!

I really love this little spotlight on sustainability in an industry that is hyper-focused on consumerism. The makeup industry is in a constant state of production, and it was really nice to see that beauty influencers don't necessarily have to follow suit. Creativity doesn't have to come at a cost! I know many KZbinrs say videos using older palettes don't do well but I really love them bc I still use my palettes but can't usually find new videos using them! Thx for this topic! Some of my oldest palettes are my Bad Habit dupe palettes for ABH and Huda but they still perform great even though they're several year's old. I also have some old Morphe palettes that actually perform better than some of the newer ones I have.

My favourite makeup channels are all those who rarely buy new makeup, but are instead shopping their collection for the next few weeks, focusing on mindfulness and creativity, tracking usage and panning products, giving opinions on new releases (without having to buy them!), trying to dupe new release palettes from within their own collection, designing custom palette combinations from their singles (or removable shadows like colourpop and Natasha Denona), trying to copy a look inspired by another makeup artist, reorganising their collection, having a quarterly purchase allowance and discussing their thought processes behind a decision, ranking things in different ways, makeup tutorials... there are plenty of ways in which you can still celebrate the love of makeup without including new releases if that's what you want for your channel. I suppose that videos on new releases get the most viewers, and that's why there's pressure to put them out quickly, but there are still people like me who prefer to watch makeup being used over makeup being bought; I try to stay away from channels that are more about the shopping than the using.

I really liked this video, because it’s always fun to see people be inspired by older products. That inspires me to use my older products that I’ve neglected. Omg, I loved every look, but the Tati palette was my favorite. It's so ridiculous, but I save it for special occasions only, so I've only used it a few times which is so insane. I don't know why I do that. Things are meant to be used, not to be saved. When I use it I can't not use the glitters. They just call my name. They are the best glitters I've ever used. Like you said, they don't need glitter glue at all, they stick right on. She really has a fantastic formula. I hope you're feeling better from your root canal.

I would love to see more videos with older palettes. I laughed “15 eyeshadows, 47 brushes, blend for an hour” 🤣 As a beginner to makeup I can’t handle more than 3 shadows. On most days I do 2 shadows - a matte in my crease and shimmer on my lid. I have not mastered the outer v yet. 🤪 Beautiful looks. My favorite one might be the last makeup look.

This video idea is GREAT! I love the Kathleen Lights X ColourPop "Dream Streets" palette. I was so excited to get my hands on that one about 2 years ago. And you just inspired me to pull that bad boy back out again. Wonderful!! 😘 I also really love the last look with the "Friendication" palette ( I have that one too! ).
