At the risk of sounding stupid, I see a lot of people with that hair scrunchie lookin thing between the head stock and first fret what is it for thanx

@@christophernaples1315 Hey! That scrunchie thing is called a Gruv Gear Fret Wrap. It mutes the strings. I generally use it to prevent open-string noise when I am tapping, or when I'm recording a video.
