Dancers often neglect adequate warm up for all body regions. We can all find 5 minutes before class. Try this.

I am so curious about the development and intent of this warm-up. You said we can all find 5 minutes before class...so is this meant to be done before a regular class warm-up, or this meant to be a full and complete warm-up for time sensitive scenarios?

I wish these video titles weren't so inaccurate and cluck bait oriented. As a professional dancer/choreographer this absolutely is not a "five minute " warmup. By the time you perform movements that need to be applied to both side and do more than 4 reps or 15 seconds - the warm up is longer than 5 minutes. Unless you've already done a longer warmup earlier or have been rehearsing/dancing or are really late to class/rehearsal a five minute warmup is not long enough to properly/safely warmup. Just sayin... 😏

We use this exact regimen with the reps specified on the video. So, no, it's not click oriented. Students and company members at a large institution have found it very helpful. Let me ask you, how many times do you see a dancer plot down on the floor and stretch in second and that's it? This, at the least, introduces the various body parts within the warm up, areas that dancers ofter don't address. The most common 'excuse' for no warm up is 'I don't have time'. So if 5-minutes can be done, that's a win!
