Yes I am taking lessons and my tutor has a Bernina. I can't afford it so I am looking at the Juki dx7 but then stumbled across this beauty (Juki DX4000)

My Bernina locked up, repeatdly…………so having a manual in the mchine did no good. It went into the shope three times only 1 hour if sewing. So sorry I bought it. Since, I just purchased a juki 2010. Life long 75yr old sewer here; owner of many machines: singer treddle, viking with cams, elna from 17s my favorite, elna lotus, top of the line brother and 3 types of janome, gifted four beginner machines to students. Biggest bang for buck is brother 625SE. Now I’m quite interested in thisnew Janome. Glad they fixed the lighting. Question: are the standard high shank juki feet interchangable ? No one answers this question.
@mightymouse209813 күн бұрын
Unfortunatly my introduction to juki was on a broken machine, I ended up buying a Janome but have watched the progress of the machines and they are impressive.

My other question is this. It says wifi but I didn't see where it says Bluetooth. Does it have an audio jack port? I ask as I sew at night and would not like disturbing my hubby or neighbors in the wee hours while they are sleeping. So if it doesn't have either Bluetooth or an audio jack then that feature is useless to me

Can you please make video what all juki serger MO654DE do ?
@rhoodjАй бұрын
Fancy.. but It still remains a weaker model with its performance capability limit. No denim or jeans thread tasks allowed.. we should have both: The DX-4000QVP & The TL-18QVP. 💰 money 💰

I love how well this machine is designed, but can you use it for heirloom sewing? There's no mention of wing needles in the manuals. I see what appear to be Venetia and Parisian hemstitches though. Pintucking feet don't seem to be available, nor do 4mm and 6mm felling feet, which I use on most of my projects. Do other brands of feet work with these machines? These features are crucial to my decision.
@JukiJunkies8 ай бұрын
You can use a good wing needle on this machine for your heirloom stitching! ❤️ this machine is a low shank 7mm, some feet may work for other brands but you won’t be able to use the smart feed with those feet since they won’t have the cut out in the back.
@gregorystanton61508 ай бұрын
@@JukiJunkies Thank you. Good to know generic low shank feet will work.

I have this machine. I was attracted to the touchscreen. Overall I like it, but don’t care for all the extra decorative, etc stitches which I don’t think came out all that great anyway. It also did not do well on the bulky part when hemming jeans. I still enjoy it because of the ease of the touch screen and other features.
@JukiJunkies8 ай бұрын
Just keep playing with that floating feature you have on the machine as well as the juki built in walking foot. Once you find the sweet spot that machine can sew over a lot !

Agree 👍🏽.. As a good, passionate, respected professional tailor, designer, garments maker, quiltists... this machine is like fancy jewelry equipment we should have on our working table. A lot of technology, impressive looks, and features.. but still need the TL-18QVP for heavy duty jobs...
