Great video...I called Juki Junkies office and got advice on which serger to get for my type of use...which is very lightweight all the way up to heavy weight. I ended up getting the MO 2800 so I could have the option of adjusting the tension if necessary. I also prefer to have less computerization. So far I am happy with my decision. I still get the knee lift, I have a magnet tray on both sides of the top and a built in rolled hem lever and (TWA) Tweak Width Adjustment. The 2800 has a manual cutting blade on the side, but not automatic cutter. It does not have the fancy foot pedal or speed control. The 2800 has almost everything I would need... The only extras I would have liked to have some additional accessory feet...It came with the standard foot and a curve foot. I will be getting the tractor foot and one of the kits with popular feet. I am replacing a popular Brother Serger. Brother was a good starter machine, but I need something a little more heavy duty.

This machine looks amazing. I can only find a few reviews on this machine. Can't figure out what others are experiencing on the machine since reviews are sparse.

Where is the presser foot lifter located? Is it on the front of the machine or behind the presser foot?

I have a question, if I buy Juki sewing machine in US, do you think that will work in India as well? India has higher power outlets. So I am worried it may get burned out.

You will have to use a converter to convert the power to 120v

Pronunciation: ah-KAH-nay From Wikipedia: Akane (あかね, アカネ) is the Japanese word for 'deep red' (茜, Akane, Rubia cordifolia) and is associated with red[3] (from the red dye made from its roots) and brilliant red.[4] Akane (written in a variety of forms) is both a female Japanese given name, ranked #9 of names to give girls in Japan,[5] as well as a surname. In fiction, the name Akane has been used for various characters in anime, manga, games, books, and comics. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akane Great installment, BTW! I've long been tempted to add a serger to my collection, and this is nudging me a little closer to going for it. ☺
