For those who might not understand, when he says "get any form of CA glue", CA is cyanoacrylate, commonly known as superglue in America.

Nice,little dot of blue tack size of the match head on the back of the driver can make sound cleaner and wires not move inside (or at least not rub the back of the driver)

Heard from a bunch of DIYers that there's a female mmcx plug available that doesn't need a drill, just inserts into the hole snugly. Will probably be better to get that type instead.

Yes there is, the long and slim screw type female mmcx, easier to Install but harder to fix it in place as there is no space to install the nut inside, hot glue works too

What epoxy putty is that? Also what temp did you use on your iron for this? And would the wires need to be isolated from each other with heat shrink or something like that?
@sgaudiohive5 жыл бұрын
Hi there, any standard epoxy putty will do, even hot glue can do the job. For the iron setting, mines set to 320deg c usually so we can work faster but it will burn thru the tip faster. Also need to check what solder u use. The wires do not need to be isolated as they are coated with insulation already

Is there advantage in using mmcx over a much better-than-stock cable directly soldered to the driver? Planning to buy one but I think it's too cheap to be making this much effort.
@joemck855 жыл бұрын
The ability to change the cable easily, most notably if you want to switch it between a Bluetooth cable and a normal one. If you don't care about that, direct connection may be the better option on these, since you'll probably be spending more on the MMCX jacks than you did on the earbuds to begin with.
@ironjohn035 жыл бұрын
@@joemck85 yeah, i agree but i'd rather do it to a much better earphones. Not with mh755. Not downplaying the 755 but it's so cheap you can buy 3, upgrade the cables and not worry about having to change it.
@joemck855 жыл бұрын
@@ironjohn03 It really just comes down to ease of changing the cable / moving the nice cable to another earphone. For some designs where the cable goes up over your ear, MMCX can also provide a swivel point to make it easier to put it into your ear comfortably.
