Oh my this workout really got my heart rate up! I've been hooping for only a few months now and at times it gets frustrating not being able to follow along with the dance tutorials. But with this I was able to keep up (with a challenge) and feel like I got a great ab exercise!

Hi! I just wanted to say that of all the hula hoop workouts I've watched this one is my favorite. I've recently started doing it twice a day (once to the right, once to the left) and I'm planning to continue. It can be hard to gain motivation to go running, or join a gym, or go outside when the weather isn't perfect, but I'm always up for a good hooping session. This is fun, but still challenging. Thank you!

i only have like a 'kiddy' hoola hoop but i do my best to do it everyday for as long as possible while watching Tv, it really helped me with my balance and core strength! (im a horse-back rider) xD ill defiantly do all of these workouts! You are alot of fun! :D

nice title. if it is really true that 1 hour of hooping burns ~600kcal, then you can compensate ~10g of chocolate with that 5 min workout.

What size hoop are you using? How long have you been hooping? Make sure you have an adult size hoop hooplovers.tv/how-to-make-a-hula-hoop-making-vs-buying-your-hoop/ and checked out some of my other tutorials on how to hula hoop...it can take a little practice in the beginning to get stronger, but you will get there!

Thank you for that great work out! What do you think - is it important to do it in both directions? Someone told me I should do every workout twice one time in each direction in order to train all muscles evenly, but I think I couldn't manage this in my "bad" direction...

Generally speaking, hula hooping burns about 7 calories per minute. But, I guess it also depends on your speed. I like to jog in place and lift my arms up and down when I hoop to keep my heart rate up.

i love your tutorials and your fantastic energy. I have just officially (everyday) started my hoop journey!!! (YaY me 😍) Anyways every time i try to march while hooping or try to incorporate lots of foot work besides spinning my hoop falls 😣. Is this the Norm for Newbies and just takes more practice??? Awesome!! Nice one. Yes make sure you hoop is a large adult size so that you have lots of space to move and keep playing the hoop often falls in the beginning, when you build more strength and coordination you will be dancing around the room with no troubles. Have fun!

First time i attempted this i kept my focus and tried damn hard... my hoop dropped a few times and i only made it 6 mins in until my shins and abs couldn't take anymore. Weight loss is about a balanced diet and regular activity. A thinner waist would come from cutting out overconsumption of processed foods and introducing a daily physical practice yes like hooping, plus staying hydrated!

This was great! When I started hooping, I was SO excited to see definition in my "abs" for the first time ever. After a few months, I realized my new muscle memory allowed my body not to work so hard. Coupled with my new ability to chest hoop, and my growing relationship with the polypro, waist hooping took a backseat. Thank you for the inspiration & for sharing your discipline!!

Big hoops and keep trying this so that you build up the body strength and endurance to be able to ab pulse fast enough. Make your foot work nice and slow int he beginning and have FUN!
