Thank you for this beautiful offering. It’s energy feels more upbeat this time ✨ I arrived home safely after my long and arduous trip to London to the Zen Temple ✨ There were SO many obstacles on my path…train delays, station closures, crowded tube stations on the London underground ✨ I felt so very small and insignificant in such huge crowds of people all pushing and pulling desperate to board the trains 🚂 London is very different to my sleepy little seaside town of Hastings 🏙️ I was knocked and battered around by people on the trains and at one point was forcefully (and deliberately) squashed up against the inside of the tube train by an enormous man who was very obviously in a bad mood and suffering greatly 😞 I imagined how calmly you would cope with the situation and it inspired me ✨ I felt afraid but I closed my eyes, imagined the heart sutra and your music..slipped into calm zazen whilst standing on the train and dealt with it all with equanimity 🙏🏻 This seemed to affect the man who had entrapped me because he suddenly turned around and looked at me, acknowledged that I was human and moved away bowing his head 😮 I arrived 30 minutes late to the Zen Temple soaking wet from the heavy rain ☔️ I rang the doorbell with the resolve that were I too late to be let in I would leave and go home without disturbing them 🔔 I was delighted to discover they had been waiting for me and welcomed me in with care and compassion after my ordeal 🪷 We had the most beautiful zazen session in an immaculate Zendo listening to the rain and the wind batter the windows 💦 We chanted the heart sutra in a beautiful harmony and I felt loved and accepted ❤️ After zazen we sat together around a table and shared tea and biscuits 🍪 They offered me an overnight stay on my next visit 🌙 Shobo-an Zen temple where I went was founded by Christmas Humphreys a prominent western Zen Buddhist practitioner who donated his home in Maida Vale to be consecrated as a temple. The late teacher was Venerable Myokyo-ni a female Zen priest originally from Austria who trained in Rinzai at the Daitoku-ji temple under the instruction of Sesso Roshi, Sojun Kannon Roshi and Sojun Roshi. She was ordained as a nun by Soko Morinaga Roshi the head monk of Daitoku-ji. I am sure all of these places in Japan are very familiar to you Yakushiji-san ✨ You may even perhaps have known some of the Zen Masters I speak of 🪷 My journey home in the dark was easier and I was helped by other members of the public in surprising and unexpected ways 🥰 I felt like I had been rewarded for my perseverance in getting there 🙏🏻 I have health problems so trips like this are hard for me but your music helped me cope. I intend to join the Buddhist society and become an active member of Shobo-an. Sincere gratitude to you Yakushiji-san and your dedicated musical team ✨🙏🏻🕊️🪷

Good evening, Today I read a book by Master Hong Yi and came to realize that those who protect and convey beautiful truths are like incarnations of bodhisattvas. They guide us to understand the compassion of bodhisattvas, much like the spirit conveyed through your works. I aspire to internalize this spirit and put it into practice in daily life.🙏🙏🙏
