I’ve got the same car. It’s great but the standard batteries are a bit weak. Did you have to change anything else before running lipos?

You can run 1 batt or 2, 2 batts will just double your run time and you can use both configurations for nimh and lipos :)

Quick blast with high pressure water, quick dry with air blower & then a bit of PTFE spray over it, Ready to send.......:-)

Chris Giangiulio yes I have 2 x 1200ma stock batts, not bad run time but lacks power, putting 2 x 2S 2200ma lipos makes a big difference and now get about an hr run time

I’m debating between this, a stampede and an arrma granite for my sons first rc that will be used off road in parks. What’s your thoughts? They are all same price point essentially.

The 1/16 summit, I bought one a while back used for 60 with batteries and charger and the previous owner beat it to shit for 3 years straight, still was good to go when I bought it and it got over terrain like butter and it has a child mode built into the esc, it's fast, has lots of torque, it's durable to an extent, and parts and upgrades and accessories are affordable and in the plenty, easy to find too. I'm buying one off Amazon tomorrow to relive some memories and nostalgia that my old torn apart gave me when I was a kid. It's worth it!

Yes mate it does and can run 1 lipo or run 2 at the same time for more run time 👍

CRAZY RC POWER is it any faster when driving with 2x 2s lipos compared to a single 2s lipo? It should be faster with just one lipo because its lighter then

Lukas Post I haven’t really noticed the difference in speed from running 1 or 2 lipos, but I get double the run time but your probably right as they are connected in parallel so it’s still 2C. But noticeable faster when running lipos compared to standard batts

I haven't seen the VXL summit in person, but this truck with the lipo flips to much as it is, in fact I have just put a wheelie bar on it last week, I don't think I would want any more power in this size of truck also I know it's a brushed motor but it's normally fitted in a 1/10 scale so plenty of power, I have also twisted / broke 2 centre drive shafts since I changed to lipo however they are plastic standard and I have now fitted the upgraded metal type and so far so good. :-)
