I think that High Focus and Blah both have their place - where High Focus is sort of like focusing more on oldschool production and grime-influenced beats, with a very straight-forward approach like - anyone on High Focus you can easily explain what they're about. Ed Scissor - he's a lyrical scientist - Verb T - he's a glorified agoraphobe - Jam Baxter - he's on drugs observing the world as a fly on the wall - etc. Whereas Lee Scott? He's kind of all over the place on the spectrum - and I mean that in a good way. The difference is that the artists on Blah aren't quite so - I don't want to say "obvious" because that might come off disrespectful - but there's an air of subversiveness that I feel like makes it more difficult to accurately describe in a sentence or two "what Lee Scott is about" - because that's part of the draw. There's hints of irony and satire, but without losing the substance. It's good! It's all good. Love them both.

i think lee scotts style feels like a hypnagogic state , he isn't making me fall asleep as he is too interesting lyrically and his flow is dope , its soothing and calm but deep its odd but its comforting. pretty class its like the hip-hop equivalent of music for airports by brian eno well that's how I feel when I listen to his music.
