I absolutely agree with the last one. Other Assault Class players not being aggressive can give you a loss. When I play I always notice myself being the only one charging at objectives with medics just standing back in the last flag.

On some open maps, mostly on operations (I'm looking at you, Galicia ! ), assault dudes get killed over and over again, and end up kneeling and crawling, trying to snipe with the AT rocket gun (and get their head blown by scouts or medics). Try helping them with smoke or gas grenades, or tanks so they can get closer. Use the scout's flares. In this kind of situations, enemies are mostly scouts or medics, and they can't handle a bunch of gas-throwing hellriegiel of shotgun wielders storming them. Bypoded LMGs are very useful to suppress the enemy snipers so your teammates can move forward. Doesn't matter if you die, and if your medics are also PFTOing (and they must, since the key to victory is often constant onslaught), you can get revived anyway. Regarding assault players not attacking tanks, I saw that too. It's not easy for an assault dude to get close enough to a tank to use dynamite or AT grenades, especially if he is alone. But everyone can help. From my experience, throwing smoke is a good tactic, because the tank won""t see the assault player coming (especially the landship, very vulnerable to this tactic). You can also confuse it by shooting from different angles (K Bullets, crossbow grenades, regular grenades. Its gunners can't aim accurately is the pilot is always trying to manoeuver...). When using a tank myself, I always try to lure the enemy tanks so they expose their rear or flanks to teammates. In confined locations (villages of Saint Quentin Scar, for example), dynamite and limpet are devastating. Regarding the "wrong weapon choice". It's not a problem if an assault dude is using a shotgun, if he can get close enough to use it with great effect. If not, guys try the Ribeyrolles. With the TTK patch and its bypod, its almost like a LMG and can be great at mid-range (against medics or support, for example).

As Assault, this is my typical experience dealing with vehicles: 1. Find vehicle 2. Approach vehicle 3. Regardless of how or from which direction I approach, driver sees me immediately 4. With no discernible delay between seeing me and firing, vehicle immediately kills me. At this point in the game's life cycle there are hundreds if not thousands of Level 140 professional vehicle campers with 100 service stars, and they will spawn into the tank or arty truck over and over again, all day long. I realize I'm supposed to take them out, but many of them are so experienced and so dedicated to their well-practiced routine of occupying the exact same parts of the map and doing the exact same things every round that it's simply not possible to kill them unless you have at least two Assaults working together. Which basically never happens. Life is short and I play to have fun, not spend the entire round trying out new ways of getting killed every 30 seconds by huge powerful tanks that are virtually impossible to counter without substantial teamwork. If I stumble across a weakened tank or an arty truck under attack by teammates I'll do what I can to help destroy it, but to go out actively looking for them is a really good way to make zero points and get killed a lot. In a related vein, I've noticed lately that a lot of pilots no longer fight each other, but spend the entire round farming infantry. It'd be interesting if someone looked into this and discussed it.

Pro tip, throwing a light anti tank grenade is faster than throwing normal anti tank grenades or using the rocket gun, throw an anti tank when unnoticed then throw a light one then a normal one and then try to finish them with a rocket

Support players have no skill, a heavy MG which has laser accuracy is no skill. Pullin AT grenades out of your ass is only going to work with a medic gf and support mom

@@TheCatMan7626 support players literally camp in one spot and shoot in a single direction nonstop or run and hop around in close quarters with a huge machine gun that has a hundred bullets before they have to reload like they’re playing call of duty. By far the least skill is involved in using that class. Oh and they can also sit in the very back of the map and spam mortars with their other sweaty support buddies

What you said at 4:00 I agree with so much now.. I played the game for 18 months without trying anything new, just went for either Martini Henry or Geweir98. The last year Ive played Ive learned to love so many different sides of the game by just trying switching the different classes and weapons and Im not really pissed at my earlier playing styles. The game is an absolute masterpiece on so many levels I never even gave attention to.

I’ve tried this but every time I try to blow a tank there is another tank supporting it or a large crowd of enemy player around the tank so it makes it difficult to take down. If teammates don’t go with me why bother

I once got a 50 killstreak as assault by taking baths in gas and throwing AT grenades. It was Somme btw, thanks to all the medics who didn’t get top list for their hard work, I feel you

The only time i camp with assault is on monte grappa. I just camp at objective C in the tunnel. Set up anti tank mines in the main tunnel. Lay down some dynamite behind the pillars and camp in the room with a Model 10 A slug shotgun. I just find it fun to defend C on that map with that loadout.

Number 2 is so true. I literally see people use the new SMG08 while ADADing and at medium range. This results them in getting annihilated by a Huot or even any other SMG. It is also funny when I heard complaints about it :P. Number 4 is true of every class really and its great that u mention it. Its good to specialize but I think players need to change the 'Gun fits my playstyle' to 'adapt my playstyle to that gun'. Personally learnt this after some time, and it works wonders. It is good to rush in with an MP18 Trench but also wise to hang back and bipod up with a Ribeyrolles. Number 5 is also important. The assault (paradoxically to point 1 kinda) is an important room clearing class. Many weapons have great hipfire & DPS's up close and is very useful to clean out chokepointy areas like Grappa bunkers.( 5:34 is a great example) This is especially prevalent on Frontlines, where a good portion of the maps do not have vehicles on them. Not to mention, Dynamite :] I would add, Not thinking SMGs are LMGs. SMGs outside of breathing distance benefit from bursting effectively (e.g 1.11). Weapons like the SMG08 are completely useless on full auto once the 4BTK range ends. A good player can get enermous versatility from weapons like the MP18, Ribeyrolles & M1917 Trench carbine as all these offer quite a bit of range. The RSC SMG is also a good pick for players who are EXTREMELY comfortable with how weapons work. I wouldn't recommend it to most people & I have started thinking that it may need less Horizontal recoil + a 3BTK extension to 20m. Being creative at taking out tanks (fits in with point 3), like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2HMi6yVfaeIfrM. A dynamite + at mine one hits all guns. Patience pays off. Great vid :]

Even though I don't play battlefield anymore I still try and watch your videos. Have you considered making content on other games? Do you play other games? I know that having a channel primarily evolving around one game or genre can be hard to branch out with. Ultimately it's your channel and you'll never please anyone so you have to do what you truly enjoy, and people will support you.

This is pretty helpful frome my experience im a very good assault class player and to be honest the most important point in the video is not choosing the right weapon FOR THE MAP its one of the steps that will make u a good assault player

Some of these happen to me, the biggest of which is only using at rocket gun and anti tank grenades, I do this. Cause there good for tight maps and overall aren't that bad against infantry

Even the assault players in my own platoon would rather bait the medics (me) into clearing a room than go in first. As medics we have enough pain in the ass things to deal with besides being used for cannon fodder with 10 assault players prone behind us staring at a doorway.

I found the presets kind of useless before the third DLC. I wasn't using the same weapons and gadgets all the time, but changing them only took few seconds and wasn't worth making presets for. After the second line of specializations changing also those was to much of a hassle so i made presets.

not helping other assaults focusing on the same vehicle is a mistake because it is faster to destroy a tank or boat than doing it by yourself. like come on you know how many rockets it takes to destroy a boat like at least all of your rockets if it's not damaged. I only destroyed 1 boat with my rockets literally by myself and I can't do it again alone 4 more times

A note on the use of "decimate": You shouldn't really use it for singular objects like tanks, you can say "decimate the enemy team" or something on the same lines

His number four is absolutely correct! When I see a person with dozens of service stars for one weapon... I automatically assume that they're no good with anything else. Why? Because everything in BF1 is usable and gives an interesting and different dynamic to the gun play. When I unlocked the Kolibri, I decided then that I wanted every single codex. So I had the challenge of getting ten kills with that overpowered Kolibri. Well, after the first, I nearly died laughing. It was brutally fun to get an elimination with the ultimate troll gun! So I ended up with the codex in one match on Giants shadow. I even decided that once I get all codexes for the firearms, I'm going to get a service star with the Kolibri. That sounds like hilarious fun! The point of everything I just said up there is to prove that you don't need a specific weapon, or variant of said weapon to do well. Shoot, the other day I recorded game play of a quad feed I got with the..... Repair tool! Yes, I'm not joking about that. A destroyer shot down my boat. I jumped out before he got the last shot. Then I swam over and threw my antitank grenades and then used the repair tool for about five seconds and destroyed the destroyer getting four kills! You're really missing out if you only use a handful of weapons (like all of BF1 players).

O Player1 AT rocket guns against infrantry is not a bad play and is smart, allows you to get a few enemies in a building in Amiens for example. Or instakilling the cavalry or elite kit.

It's good to know someone knows what's going on........ Geez literally, my brother and I literally are the only 2 infantry men that will hunt for armor kills...... We both use light tank granade, Anti-tank, and dynamite..... It's all about TEAM WORK!!! literally We both throw are light tank grenade's at the A7V and it's half way destroyed..... Then I throw My first Anti-tank grenade and my Bro throw's his..... boom, tank is gone saved the adjective with good chunk of point's and got some dynamite left...... Dice has made it really easy..... you just got to take advantage of it....... My bro and I put the Tank Hunter to shame!
